Test

Ethereum

ETH is trading around $2,682, up roughly 10% over the past month but still about 46% below its $4,953 all-time high. The immediate range is becoming increasingly clear: buyers have repeatedly defended roughly $2,650, while the $2,775-$2,800 area continues to attract sellers.
The next catalyst arrives quickly. Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled to activate on the Sepolia testnet on Oct. 6, introducing major changes to block construction, gas pricing and Layer-1 scaling ahead of a future mainnet release. The Ethereum Foundation says a mainnet date has not yet been finalized.$2,800 Remains Ethereum’s Breakout Test
Ethereum briefly reached about $2,775 on Oct. 2 before falling back toward $2,650, reinforcing the upper-$2,700s as resistance.
That matches Coinpaper’s previous ETH breakout setup, which identified $2,800 as the level Ethereum needs to establish as support before $3,000 becomes the next major target.
The hierarchy now looks straightforward: $2,650 support → $2,800 breakout → $3,000 psychological target. If ETH clears $3,000, the $3,050 region becomes the next immediate technical area.<iframe src=”https://widgets.coincodex.com/w/2329f74f-9d82-45e5-814e-1ce28cc9b45a?site=coinpaper&mode=light” width=”100%” height=”420” frameborder=”0” referrerpolicy=”no-referrer-when-downgrade” style=”border:0;background:transparent;border-radius:0px;”></iframe>ETF Flows Have Suddenly Turned Against ETH
The institutional side of the setup has weakened.
U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs posted $59.6 million of outflows on Sept. 30, followed by another $55.4 million on Oct. 1 and $17.3 million on Oct. 2, according to Farside Investors.
That is a sharp reversal from the late-September inflow streak Coinpaper published in its ETF demand analysis.
Still, the broader supply backdrop remains constructive. Earlier this month, we found that exchange reserves had fallen to multi-year lows while staking continued absorbing circulating ETH.
