XRP enters October 2026 after three consecutive months of gains, giving crypto analyst Egrag Crypto an unusual pattern to examine. The analyst compared XRP’s previous October performances with its recent monthly returns and highlighted a notable difference in the current market structure.
Egrag Crypto’s tweet reviewed 13 October performances since 2013. XRP finished five of those months higher and eight months lower.
Those results give XRP a 38.5% rate of positive October closes and a 61.5% rate of negative closes. Egrag Crypto also calculated an average October return of -5.5% and a median return of -3.2%.

Forget emotions. LOOK AT THE NUMBERS.
 Since 2013, <a href="https://x.com/hashtag/XRP?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">#XRP</a> has completed 13 Octobers:

<h2 id="strong-green-september-has-usually-preceded-a-decline-strong">Green September Has Usually Preceded A Decline</h2>
Egrag Crypto then looked at XRP’s performance after September ended with a gain. The analyst identified seven instances that matched that condition.
XRP finished October lower in six of those seven cases, while only one October produced a gain. That gives the negative outcome an 85.7% rate and the positive outcome a 14.3% rate within the sample.
The figures show a consistent tendency toward weaker performance, particularly after XRP records a positive September. Egrag Crypto used those numbers to highlight the pressure seasonality could put on <a href="https://timestabloid.com/xrp-october-price-prediction/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP during October.</a>
However, XRP now enters the month with a factor the previous examples don’t contain.
<h2 id="strong-xrp-records-gains-in-july-august-and-september-strong">XRP Records Gains In July, August And September</h2>
According to Egrag Crypto, XRP gained 2.1% in July, 30.0% in August, and 8.0% in September. The three-month sequence marks consecutive gains heading into October.
Egrag Crypto said XRP has never previously recorded this exact July-August-September sequence in the data highlighted in the post. The analyst therefore sees a significant difference between the current conditions and the <a href="https://timestabloid.com/will-xrp-rally-this-october-heres-price-history-that-could-help-you-plan/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">previous October</a> examples.
That leaves XRP with two contrasting statistical signals. Its October record has favored declines, while its recent performance shows sustained monthly gains. Egrag Crypto questioned whether the cryptocurrency will continue following its October tendency or move in the opposite direction this year.

<h2 id="strong-the-value-of-past-trends-questioned-strong">The Value Of Past Trends Questioned</h2>
One commenter, Xeowolf, questioned the relevance of previous trends when assessing XRP’s current direction. Xeowolf <a href="https://x.com/rex_xeowolf/status/2105762325534031893?s=46" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">wrote</a>, “Sorry, these past trends don’t mean shit. A lot of instances over the last year + that the market bucked the trend.”
The comment argues that XRP and the broader market have produced several moves that contradicted previously observed patterns, particularly during the past year.
Egrag Crypto’s post ultimately places XRP’s October performance against two different sets of numbers. Previous October results have leaned negative, while the cryptocurrency now enters the month after three consecutive gains that haven’t appeared in the same sequence before.
October’s final return will determine whether XRP follows its previous tendency or <a href="https://timestabloid.com/how-does-27-xrp-by-october-sound-xrp-army-answers/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">records a different result </a>in 2026.
