<a href="https://x.com/GoldmanSachs" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@GoldmanSachs</a> is extending the reach of its flagship government money-market fund to the institutional crypto market, without tokenizing a single share. <cite>Goldman Sachs is putting one of its largest Treasury funds within reach of digital-asset firms without creating a tokenized version of it, with the bank's roughly $100 billion Treasury fund, FTIXX, getting a new distribution channel aimed at institutional crypto firms.</cite>
<cite>FTIXX is now available to qualified US clients on Lynq, a permissioned Avalanche L1 settlement network built by Arca Labs, Tassat, and <a href="https://x.com/tZERO" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@tZERO</a>.</cite><cite>Trading on the platform is handled by tZERO Securities, a broker-dealer registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.</cite><cite>This is the first external fund introduced to the Lynq network, which previously only had a single investment product.</cite>
<cite>Unlike BlackRock's BUIDL and Franklin Templeton's BENJI, FTIXX is not being tokenized, with Lynq instead serving as a new distribution channel for the existing fund.</cite><cite>FTIXX remains a conventional money-market product, subject to the same regulatory framework it always has been.</cite><cite>Lynq clients can put cash into FTIXX between trades and earn yield until they need to deploy the money elsewhere.</cite>
<h2 id="what-is-lynq-and-who-uses-it">What Is Lynq and Who Uses It?</h2>
<cite>Lynq was developed by tZERO, Arca Labs, and Tassat, and is supported by partners including Avalanche, B2C2, US Bank, Galaxy Digital, FalconX, Fireblocks, Crypto.com, and Wintermute.</cite><cite>tZERO Securities, an SEC-registered broker-dealer and FINRA/SIPC member, serves as Lynq's broker-dealer operator, providing client onboarding and custody.</cite>
<cite>Lynq migrated in April 2026 to a permissioned Layer 1 infrastructure on <a href="https://x.com/avax" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@avax</a> for better control over validators, configuration, privacy, and performance.</cite><cite>The network operates on a private permissioned Avalanche Layer 1 blockchain and has connected over 30 institutional digital asset companies, with assets exceeding $89 million.</cite>
<cite>Getting FTIXX onto the network required Lynq to modify its technology, restrict access to US clients, and integrate with Mosaic. Customers also need a relationship with <a href="https://x.com/tZERO" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@tZERO</a> Securities and must meet the required onboarding and eligibility checks.</cite>
<cite>Lynq CEO Jerald David stated that there is a convergence occurring between traditional market participants and digital asset market participants.</cite> The FTIXX listing marks a meaningful step in that direction, giving crypto-native trading desks a regulated, yield-generating home for idle capital without requiring them to step outside the blockchain-based settlement infrastructure they already use.
