Over the past month, Arbitrum recorded 14,036 developer commits, a figure that leaves every competing network trailing well behind. For context, <a href="https://x.com/Cardano" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@Cardano</a> logged 4,023 commits over the same period, while <a href="https://x.com/SuiNetwork" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@SuiNetwork</a> managed 2,746. These are two of the more active alternative Layer 1 networks in the space, which makes the gap all the more striking.</p>

<p>A significant part of Arbitrum's surge in commit activity ties back to <a href="https://x.com/RobinhoodCrypto" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@RobinhoodCrypto</a>. <a href="https://blog.arbitrum.io/robinhood-chain-mainnet/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Robinhood Chain launched its mainnet on July 1, 2026</a>, built directly on the Arbitrum platform and designed to support tokenized real-world assets and DeFi applications. The chain operates as a dedicated Ethereum Layer 2 and, under its agreement with the Arbitrum ecosystem, <a href="https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/07/09/arbitrum-jumps-19-benefitting-from-robinhood-s-usd568-million-onchain-trading-frenzy" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">remits 10% of its net protocol revenue back to the Arbitrum DAO treasury and Developer Guild</a>. That financial link gives both projects a shared incentive to keep development moving at pace.</p>
<p>The broader backdrop is also favorable for Arbitrum. The ArbOS Elara upgrade went live in August 2026, quadrupling Stylus contract capacity and adding compliance tooling for teams running dedicated chains. Meanwhile, Standard Chartered's digital assets research team has called <a href="https://x.com/search?q=%24ARB&amp;src=cashtag_click" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">$ARB</a> "hugely undervalued," citing Robinhood Chain's revenue-sharing arrangement as a key part of its long-term thesis.</p>
<p>Taken together, the commit data and the institutional momentum building around Robinhood Chain suggest Arbitrum's position as the most actively developed public blockchain right now is not a fluke. The question is whether that development pace translates into sustained user and liquidity growth over the months ahead.</p>
