The federal task order spans an 18-month period. Under the agreement, Telos will modernize cyber governance frameworks, risk assessment protocols, and compliance systems throughout the HHS infrastructure.
Implementation of the Xacta platform suite will target two critical HHS departments: the Office of the Chief Information Officer alongside the Office of Information Security.
The deployment encompasses three distinct technology platforms: Xacta 360, Xacta.io, and Xacta.ai.
The contract scope extends beyond software delivery. Additional components include comprehensive cybersecurity services, enterprise-level system integration, personnel training programs, and technical support for data migration activities.
<h3 id="xacta-platform-capabilities">Xacta Platform Capabilities</h3>
The Xacta 360 component manages security authorization processes. Its functionality encompasses control assessment protocols, compliance record management, and real-time monitoring capabilities.
Xacta.io serves as an aggregation engine for security intelligence. It consolidates information from multiple security systems, providing HHS with comprehensive oversight of cyber threats and security readiness.
Xacta.ai introduces machine learning capabilities to the ecosystem. This artificial intelligence component aims to reduce manual compliance workloads and accelerate authorization processes.
John B. Wood, who serves as Telos’s chairman and CEO, addressed the contract significance. He noted that implementing the complete Xacta ecosystem across HHS demonstrates the platform’s capability to serve large-scale, intricate federal operations.
<h3 id="federal-certification-and-corporate-overview">Federal Certification and Corporate Overview</h3>
The Xacta suite holds FedRAMP Class D (High) authorization. This designation represents the most stringent security classification within the federal authorization framework.
This certification enables government entities to deploy the cloud-based security tools in systems processing controlled unclassified information. Such authorization is essential for federal contracts involving sensitive data.
Telos markets itself as a comprehensive provider of cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise protection solutions. The company serves federal agencies, heavily regulated commercial sectors, and multinational corporations.
This HHS contract expands <a href="https://knockoutstocks.com/stock/TLS" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Telos’s</a> portfolio of federal engagements. The firm has strategically focused on agencies requiring elevated security certifications for their technology infrastructure.
Specific implementation dates for the HHS Xacta deployment were not disclosed. The 18-month execution period commenced immediately following the contract award.
