<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/quant/">Quant (QNT)</a> rose about 36% over 24 hours after The Clearing House, a payments company owned by 25 of the largest US financial institutions, selected Quant's technology for its planned tokenized deposit network.
QNT traded at $97.95 as of 7:25 pm UTC on Sept. 25, according to CoinMarketCap data, after briefly climbing to $103.71. Its 24-hour trading volume reached about $90 million. The token remains about 77% below its all-time high of $428.38, set in September 2021.
<h2 id="header-0">What Quant Will Build for Banks</h2>
The Clearing House (TCH) <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.theclearinghouse.org/payment-systems/Articles/2026/09/The-Clearing-House-Partners-with-Quant-to-Advance-the--On-Chain-Money-Initiative">announced</a> on Sept. 24 that Quant will provide the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://coinmarketcap.com/academy/glossary/interoperability">interoperability</a>, orchestration and transaction-management layer for its On-Chain Money Initiative. The network is designed to let banks clear and settle tokenized deposits, which are digital versions of ordinary bank deposits, with immediate settlement and payments that execute automatically once agreed conditions are met.
Quant's technology will also connect the network to TCH's existing RTP and CHIPS payment systems. TCH says it clears and settles more than $2 trillion a day. The network is expected to become available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027.
"Building interbank infrastructure for tokenized deposits requires proven technology that can scale," said Sal Karakaplan, chief strategy officer at TCH, adding that Quant's technology gives "financial institutions of all sizes a path to participate." Quant CEO Gilbert Verdian said tokenized deposits "are now the de facto way banks move money on-chain."

<h2 id="header-1">Banks Behind the Initiative</h2>
TCH first <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.theclearinghouse.org/payment-systems/Articles/2026/06/Major-Financial-Institutions-Unveil-Bank-Led-On-Chain-Money-Initiative">unveiled</a> the initiative in June with 17 banks, including J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, Citi, Wells Fargo and HSBC.
Large US banks currently run separate tokenized deposit systems that mainly serve their own clients, according to Ledger <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ledgerinsights.com/the-clearing-house-selects-quant-for-tokenized-deposit-interoperability/">Insights</a>. TCH's network aims to link them, with cross-border payments, treasury liquidity management and digital asset settlement among the targeted uses.
Quant already provides similar infrastructure to the UK's Great British Tokenised Deposit platform, which recently completed its first live customer transactions, the outlet reported.
Neither TCH nor Quant said whether the QNT token will play a role on the new network.
