CME Group will offer standard Bitcoin Cash futures representing 250 BCH, alongside Micro contracts covering 25 BCH each. The two contract sizes will give traders different ways to manage Bitcoin Cash exposure within CME Group’s regulated marketplace. CME Group designed the products for market participants seeking flexible derivatives with established clearing, financing, and around-the-clock trading infrastructure.
The planned Bitcoin Cash launch extends a cryptocurrency suite that already includes Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, and several altcoins. CME Group also lists futures for Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui following several product additions during 2026. Those newer contracts generated more than $1 billion in combined notional value year-to-date, according to the company’s latest figures.
Crypto trading activity has also remained substantial across CME Group’s wider futures and options business during the first half. Average daily volume reached 279,800 contracts, representing approximately $8.3 billion in notional value across its cryptocurrency derivatives products. Average open interest stood at 264,600 contracts, equal to roughly $15.4 billion in notional exposure during the same period.

Uniswap Futures Add Regulated UNI Market Access

CME Group will introduce standard Uniswap futures covering 10,000 UNI, while Micro contracts will represent 1,000 UNI each. The structure will provide larger and smaller contract choices for participants seeking regulated exposure to the decentralized finance token. CME Group expects UNI contracts to support risk management, market positioning, and portfolio strategies across its expanding cryptocurrency marketplace.
Uniswap will join the exchange operator’s growing group of single-asset cryptocurrency futures as demand broadens beyond Bitcoin and Ether. The launch also reflects CME Group’s continuing push into altcoin derivatives after adding five additional cryptocurrency futures during 2026. That expansion gives market participants more ways to hedge individual token exposure without relying entirely on unregulated offshore derivatives venues.
CME Group will list both Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures under CME rules, with the launch scheduled for October 19. The company continues expanding regulated digital asset products as cryptocurrency derivatives become a larger part of its global marketplace. CME Group’s broader platform also spans interest rates, equities, foreign exchange, energy, agriculture, metals, cash markets, and clearing services.
