The platform, also known as Bonk(.)fun, launched on April 25, 2025, as a joint project between the BONK community and the Solana decentralized exchange Raydium. It runs on Raydium's LaunchLab infrastructure and has repeatedly traded the top spot in Solana's memecoin launchpad market with its main rival, Pump.fun.

A user connects a Solana wallet, such as Phantom or Backpack, picks a name and ticker for their token, uploads an image, and pays a small fee in SOL. The token then goes live on a bonding curve, a pricing model where the cost per token rises as more people buy in.
Letsbonk(.)fun uses a Dynamic Logarithmic Pricing Curve. This adjusts how fast the price climbs during the first minutes of a launch, meant to give ordinary buyers a fairer entry against automated bots. The platform also caps how much of a token's supply one wallet can buy in the first 60 seconds after launch.
Once a token's bonding curve reaches its target, it "graduates." At that point, the token moves automatically into a Raydium liquidity pool and becomes tradable across other Solana apps through the Jupiter aggregator, a tool that routes trades to the best available price across multiple exchanges.

Letsbonk(.)fun charges a 1% swap fee on trades. This fee model has changed several times since launch. As of the platform's live dashboard, the current split is: 51% to "Buy for BNKK," 10% to BONKsol Staking, 10% to Community Marketing, 7.67% each to a $GP Reserve, Hiring/Growth, and Development/Integration, 4% to Marketing, and 2% to BonkRewards.
The largest line, "Buy for BNKK," replaced the platform's original direct buyback-and-burn allocation on December 3, 2025. It funds BONK purchases for Bonk, Inc. (Nasdaq: BNKK), a publicly traded company that holds a 51% stake in Letsbonk(.)fun and manages a corporate treasury of BONK tokens. This is different from a straightforward burn, since the tokens go into a company-managed treasury rather than being destroyed outright, though Bonk, Inc. has stated a goal of accumulating up to 5% of BONK's circulating supply.

It first overtook Pumpfun in July 2025, lost most of its share back to Pumpfun by mid-August 2025, and has swung between the two platforms multiple times since, with newer competitors like Meteora DBC and Bags also taking meaningful slices of the market at different points.&nbsp;
As of mid-August 2026, the most recent data available shows Pumpfun holding the larger share of launchpad fee revenue, not Letsbonk(.)fun.
As of early September 2026, BONK trades near $0.000003, with a market capitalization of roughly $262 million and a circulating supply of about 87.99 trillion tokens.
The ecosystem has also faced setbacks. On July 13, 2026, an attacker exploited a governance vulnerability in BonkDAO, the decentralized body that manages parts of the BONK ecosystem treasury, and drained about 4.426 trillion BONK, worth roughly $21.2 million at the time. On-chain data showed much of it later moved to major exchanges. This is a treasury governance issue distinct from Letsbonk(.)fun's own launch mechanics, but it touches the wider BONK ecosystem the platform depends on.
