A steady technical uptrend paired with a genuinely significant regulatory shift tends to carry more weight than either factor would on its own.
Whether $HBAR can build on both of these or stalls out below resistance is exactly what this piece works through, so keep reading for the full picture.

Hedera is trading around $0.07642 right now, up close to 3.58% on the day, a gain of about $0.002641.
That kind of move lines up well with a coin holding an ascending trendline rather than one showing any real weakness.
Market cap sits near $3.35 billion, open interest is holding at $115.91 million, and trading activity is split between $119.80 million in 24-hour futures volume and $26.46 million in spot volume.
Circulating supply stands at 43.83 billion $HBAR, out of a total and max supply of 50.00 billion tokens.

There is a genuinely significant piece of Hedera news feeding into this $HBAR price outlook right now.
According to a post from ALLINCRYPTO on X, the SEC has opened the door for tokenized U.S. stocks to trade on blockchain, approving a temporary, conditional Innovation Exemption for tokenized NMS stocks on certain on-chain venues.
The statement, attributed to Commissioner Mark T. Uyeda, argues that tokenization can cut costs, improve transparency, and make assets easier to trade, and frames the exemption as a way to further develop the Commission's understanding of how these venues actually function.
The post explicitly calls this development bullish for HBAR, alongside XLM and XRP, given all three networks have positioned themselves around real-world asset tokenization and payments infrastructure.
For anyone doing Hedera trend analysis right now, a regulatory shift of this kind at the SEC level is the sort of headline that could meaningfully shape institutional interest in tokenization-focused networks over the coming months, even though the exemption itself is still described as temporary and conditional.

Quick Take

CMP: $0.07646 on the 1-hour Binance perpetual chart

Trigger level: close above $0.07988 to confirm trendline continuation

Failure level: close below $0.07393; deeper support sits at $0.07173

Data as of: September 17, 2026, 13:48 UTC+5:30

Risk note: HBAR is climbing a fairly gradual trendline, so a closing break matters more than a wick, especially with fresh regulatory headlines that could add volatility either way

HBAR Technical Forecast: Reading the Ascending Trendline

Chart source: TradingView, HBAR/USDT Perpetual Contract, 1-hour timeframe, Binance, September 17, 2026, 13:48 UTC+5:30.
Zooming into the 1-hour HBAR/USDT chart on Binance, the price has been climbing steadily along an ascending trendline, taking support at that rising line on each pullback.
This kind of gradual, well-respected uptrend often reflects patient buying rather than a sharp speculative spike, and HBAR is currently holding above that trendline after a modest pullback.
If HBAR manages to close above $0.07988, that would confirm continuation along this trendline, roughly 4.5% above the current price.
Clearing that opens the path toward $0.08683, about 13.6% higher than CMP, a level that would represent a meaningful continuation of this Hedera price prediction if buying pressure keeps up, especially with the SEC tokenization news adding fresh tailwind.
On the other side, if HBAR fails to hold this trendline and closes below $0.07393, roughly 3.3% under current price, that would suggest the uptrend is losing its footing. In that case, the next support to watch sits at $0.07173, about 6.2% below CMP.

Bull, Base, and Bear Scenarios for Hedera

If buyers keep respecting this trendline and push HBAR through $0.07988 with a confirmed close, that opens a clear path toward $0.08683.
Growing attention around the SEC's tokenization exemption, and its explicit mention of HBAR, could give bulls extra reason to lean into this HBAR price forecast over the coming weeks.
A more measured outcome has $HBAR continuing to consolidate near this trendline for a while, digesting both the recent pullback and the fresh SEC headline before making its next real attempt higher.
Things turn bearish if $HBAR closes below $0.07393, and more decisively so if $0.07173 gives way too.
That combination would suggest the ascending trendline has broken down, putting this Hedera price outlook on a weaker footing regardless of what the regulatory news cycle does next.

Risks to This Hedera Price Prediction

No HBAR price target is guaranteed, and a few things could easily change this picture.
Broader crypto sentiment, particularly sudden moves in Bitcoin or shifts in macro risk appetite, can override coin-specific setups like this one regardless of how clean the trendline looks.
The SEC's Innovation Exemption is explicitly described as temporary and conditional, so how it eventually shapes real trading volume for tokenized assets, and whether that translates into anything price-relevant for $HBAR specifically, remains genuinely uncertain at this early stage.

Glossary

Ascending trendline: a rising line connecting a series of higher lows, used to track the strength and direction of an uptrend.
Innovation Exemption: a temporary, conditional regulatory allowance, in this case from the SEC, permitting limited trading of tokenized stocks on certain on-chain venues.
Trendline continuation: a move where price breaks above a level that confirms the existing uptrend is still intact rather than reversing.
Open interest: the total number of outstanding derivative contracts on an asset that have not yet been settled or closed.
