BlockchainFX Price jumped to $4.49 today, up 14.76%, the same day the official BlockchainFX.com account confirmed something new: the BFX/ETH bidding, still cited around $0.049, now has a stated end date of September 30.&nbsp;
With 13 days on the clock, this update focuses on what that deadline actually changes and what it does not.

This is the real news in today's update, and it deserves attention before anything else. The BFX/ETH auction, previously covered in this series without any stated closing date, now has one: September 30.<img alt="The auction as building liquidity gradually" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/aHcZ8HRxrokWxnhdcmT8TyUfLZ2G4wKxA9UQ1m6G.jpg" width="300" title="The auction as building liquidity gradually">

The official framing describes the auction as building liquidity gradually and cushioning BFX against wild price swings, which suggests it's meant to function as an ongoing stabilizing mechanism, not simply a fundraising window.
What is not confirmed in the sources reviewed: whether tokens acquired through the bidding are delivered or unlocked specifically at that date, whether the liquidity the bidding has built gets redeployed somewhere once it closes, and whether a new auction round could follow.
None of this should be assumed to mean a guaranteed price move, a new listing event, or an arbitrage opportunity once September 30 passes. It's an observable milestone worth watching, not a resolved outcome.

Today's chart shows BFX holding near $3.90-4.00 through the morning, stepping up to about $4.40 in the afternoon, then spiking sharply overnight to roughly $5.30 before fading back to today's $4.49.<img alt="BFX live price chart" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/5c8hUunkp8OkZ16V0Q2QfNeU4GqLZ9ahxx3aQA4a.jpg" width="300" title="BFX live price chart">

This is a larger and faster round trip than the stepped moves flagged in earlier updates, and it is worth setting directly against the auction's stated purpose of cushioning "wild price swings."
The auction and the live Uniswap market are separate mechanisms, so a volatile spot session doesn't mean the auction failed at its stated job, but it's a fair tension to note rather than ignore.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-family-verdana-geneva-span-style-font-size-16px-is-0-049-still-just-a-clearing-price-not-a-fixed-deal-span-span-span">Is $0.049 Still Just a Clearing Price, Not a Fixed Deal?</h2>
Worth a brief refresher given&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/blockchainfx-price-ready-for-new-ath-bfx-app-outlook" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">today's deadline news</a>. A continuous clearing auction's displayed price reflects current bidding activity, not a locked-in rate; it can move before a given bid actually settles.
With a firm end date now attached, it's reasonable to expect bidding activity, and potentially the clearing price itself, to shift as September 30 approaches, the same way many deadline-driven sales see a late push.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-family-verdana-geneva-span-style-font-size-16px-4-49-vs-4-40-reading-the-small-gap-right-span-span-span">$4.49 vs $4.40: Reading the Small Gap Right</h2>
The dashboard used throughout this coverage shows $4.49; the official post cites live trading "<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/blockchainfx-price-4-24-what-behind-14-9b-178-8m-gap" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">currently around $4.40</a>."
Given the post is already noted as roughly 16 hours old at capture, and $BFX moved meaningfully within just today's session, this reads as an ordinary snapshot-timing difference rather than two sources disagreeing about the same moment.
