<p style="text-align: justify">S&amp;P Global has reached an agreement to acquire OpenZeppelin, a smart contract security firm whose code libraries have facilitated more than $37 trillion in value transacted through stablecoins, tokenized funds, and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. S&amp;P Global, recognized for its credit ratings and analytics services, reported that it does not expect the acquisition to have a significant impact on its financial results.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">According to Yann Le Pallec, President of S&amp;P Global Ratings, OpenZeppelin’s technology and expertise will enhance S&amp;P Global’s capabilities in smart contract and onchain technology risk assessments. Le Pallec stated that this integration aims to provide both traditional financial institutions and DeFi-native companies with increased confidence to build and transact within the evolving digital asset environment.</p>
