<h2 id="bitcoin-corporate-treasury-news">Bitcoin &amp; Corporate Treasury News</h2><p>French Bitcoin treasury company Capital B has raised 7.6 million euros ($8.8 million) from Adam Back, CEO of Bitcoin developer Blockstream, through a private placement of shares issued at a 15.4% premium to the Sept. 1 closing price.</p><p>Back is a prominent figure in the crypto industry and an early cypherpunk cited in the original 2008 Bitcoin (<a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer">BTC</a>) white paper.</p><p>The <a href="https://www.actusnews.com/en/capital-b/pr/2026/09/02/capital-b-announces-a-eur-7_6-million-capital-raise-with-strategic-investor-adam-back-to-accelerate-its-bitcoin-treasury-company" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">placement </a>consists of 13.18 million shares priced at 58 euro cents ($0.67) each. Each share carries four five-year warrants. Two warrants are exercisable at 75 euro cents ($0.87), one at 98 euro cents ($1.13), and one at 1.27 euros ($1.47). If all 52.7 million warrants are exercised, Capital B would collect an additional 49.4 million euros ($57 million). The company can also trigger an accelerated exercise period if its 20-day volume-weighted average price exceeds 130% of the applicable warrant exercise price for 20 consecutive trading days. The placement is expected to close Sept. 3 at the earliest, with net proceeds of approximately 7.3 million euros ($8.5 million) after fees.</p><h2 id="holdings-could-reach-3-521-btc-after-new-raise">Holdings Could Reach 3,521 BTC After New Raise</h2><p>Capital B plans to use the proceeds, alongside ongoing operations, to acquire up to 376 additional BTC. That would take its total holdings from 3,145 BTC to 3,521 BTC. The company currently ranks 26th among 198 public companies tracked by Bitcoin Treasuries. If the target is reached, Capital B would hold the second-largest Bitcoin treasury among Europe-listed public companies, behind German firm Bitcoin Group SE, which holds 3,605 BTC. Capital B last reported holding 3,145 BTC acquired at an average price of 90,352 euros (around $104,682) per coin, with current holdings valued at approximately 214 million euros ($248 million).</p><p>Back's stake in Capital B will rise to 17.77% on an ordinary basis following the share issuance, up from 14.82% before the transaction. If all warrants from the placement are exercised, his stake could climb to 27.8% on an ordinary basis. The deal also forms part of a broader 21 million euro financing that includes strategic investor TOBAM, through the issuance of 36.2 million additional shares. If every warrant across the full financing is exercised, Capital B would issue another 144.9 million shares and collect 135.8 million euros, bringing total potential gross proceeds to 156.8 million euros ($181.7 million). A holder of 1% of Capital B before the placement would own 0.90% after the share issuance and 0.65% if all new warrants are exercised. At the time, Capital B said those proceeds could support the acquisition of 182 BTC, taking its holdings to 3,125 BTC. In June 2026, the company said it was also exploring a digital credit instrument for the European market modeled on Strategy's STRC and Strive's SATA products. BTC was trading near $77,000 on Sept. 2, after moving between $76,800 and $81,600 over the prior week. Capital B's Paris-listed shares traded at 48.5 euro cents ($0.56) at around midday Central European Time on Wednesday, down 2.1% on the day.</p>
