XRP buyers have yet to control the market, as weakening momentum and persistent derivatives selling threaten the cryptocurrency’s recent recovery. According to CryptoQuant analyst PelinayPA, Binance traders have not supported XRP’s rebound with sufficiently aggressive buying activity.
XRP climbed from approximately $1.00 toward $1.50, but growing selling pressure pushed its price back to around $1.36. This rejection indicates that traders remain willing to secure profits near the recent high, limiting XRP’s ability to extend its gains.
Binance derivatives data places the Taker Buy/Sell Ratio at 0.92, showing that market-sell orders still exceed market-buy orders. Consequently, aggressive sellers retain an advantage, although XRP remains considerably higher than the low recorded before its recovery.
The ratio also declined by 6.71% during the measured period, strengthening concerns about weakening demand among derivatives traders. A reading above 1 would indicate stronger market-buying activity and provide greater confirmation that buyers have regained control.
However, the present reading shows that XRP’s price recovery has developed without decisive support from aggressive derivatives participants. Profit-taking may partly explain this imbalance, especially among traders who entered positions when XRP traded near the $1.00 level.
Additionally, spot demand and short covering may have supported the rebound without producing excessive activity within the derivatives market. The absence of FOMO does not confirm a broader bearish reversal, but it reduces expectations for an immediate rally extension.

XRP Faces a Crucial Test Between $1.35 and $1.40

XRP now trades within an important decision area between $1.35 and $1.40, which overlaps with its lower Ichimoku structure. The chart displays relevant Ichimoku levels near $1.34, $1.36, $1.43, and $1.52, making the current region especially important.
Holding above $1.35 could help XRP establish a stable base before buyers attempt to reclaim $1.40 and $1.43. A sustained recovery above those levels could reopen the path toward $1.50, where sellers previously interrupted the upward movement.
Moreover, breaking above $1.52 would weaken the rejection signal and strengthen expectations for another stage of the recovery. Such a breakout would receive stronger confirmation if the taker ratio rises above 1 alongside increased derivatives trading volume.

Conversely, losing the region between $1.34 and $1.35 could expose XRP to stronger selling and a deeper price retracement. Persistent taker ratio readings below 1 would reinforce that weakness because sellers would retain control over aggressive market activity.
XRP’s market capitalization also reflects slowing momentum, having risen from approximately $100 billion to almost $150 billion. However, the valuation later retreated toward $139.9 billion, confirming that the cryptocurrency could not preserve its entire advance. Despite this reduction, XRP’s market value remains almost $40 billion above its previous low, preserving part of the recovery.

What Comes Next for XRP Buyers

Historical chart movements show that rising taker ratios often accompany XRP recoveries, while lower readings usually reflect persistent selling pressure. Sideways or moderately lower movement remains possible while derivatives sellers retain their advantage and buyers struggle to increase market participation.
A rise above 1 would signal stronger buyer activity, potentially supporting another attempt to overcome resistance around $1.43. Reclaiming that level would improve XRP’s short-term structure before the cryptocurrency encounters stronger resistance near $1.50 and $1.52.
XRP’s direction depends heavily on the $1.35 support area, where buyers must protect the remaining recovery structure. Holding this level could encourage renewed demand, while a breakdown would weaken momentum and increase the risk of further losses.
