Gemini

Apex

Gemini has signed a letter of intent with Apex Fintech Solutions aimed at bringing regulated crypto event contracts to Apex's brokerage distribution network, an intent-stage deal that could widen retail access to crypto prediction markets if finalized.
The agreement is a letter of intent, not a completed rollout. Gemini framed the arrangement as a plan to distribute its regulated crypto prediction markets through Apex, according to Gemini's announcement. Apex described the collaboration as a way to route Gemini's crypto event contracts into its distribution network, which serves brokerage and fintech platforms, per Apex's press release. The two firms confirmed cooperation, not a finalized launch.
Why brokerage distribution could matter

Routing event contracts through brokerage rails is the core of the deal. Apex sits between product issuers and downstream platforms, so its network can expose the product to a wider set of retail brokerage users than a crypto-native venue reaches on its own. That access angle is the point. Brokerage distribution can lower onboarding friction and broaden visibility for a product category that has largely lived on specialized exchanges, as CoinDesk reported. The potential reach remains conditional on execution and any required approvals. The move signals a convergence point between crypto products and mainstream financial platforms. Gemini has been expanding its footprint on other fronts, including growing its bitcoin treasury holdings, and this deal extends that push toward distribution.

What remains unconfirmed

The announcement does not specify a launch date, product terms, supported brokerage partners, fees, or geographic scope. Those details are absent from both companies' statements.
Regulatory positioning is one thread to watch. Gemini's derivatives and clearing activity appears in CFTC filings, including entries in the agency's trading organization registry, but the LOI itself does not confirm which entity or approvals would underpin a brokerage rollout.
Because the deal sits at the intent stage, execution is the open question. Readers should watch for a definitive agreement, a launch timeline, named brokerage partners, and any compliance milestones from Gemini or Apex before treating brokerage-distributed event contracts as live.
