XRP news is facing a split outlook as negative crowd talk grows, XRP Ledger activity has picked up, and Ripple executives are expected at a White House meeting with crypto industry leaders. These updates give the market a fresh point of focus as XRP price trades below $1, and traders watch network use and policy cues.

XRP Ledger (XRPL) Activity Rises As Negativity Grows

XRP news has taken a mixed turn this week. Santiment said negative comments around XRP price have reached a three-month high across X, Reddit, Telegram and other crypto channels as the token has struggled to rally. The shift in mood comes after XRP fell back below the $1 mark, adding to pressure on retail traders and online discussions.

Still, the XRP Ledger is showing a different picture. Santiment reported 49,929 active addresses over a 24-hour period, the highest level in more than two months. Activity had earlier fallen close to its 2026 lows in July.

The rise in active addresses does not guarantee a price recovery, but it shows that people are still using or interacting with the network while market sentiment is weak. Santiment described the growing activity as the type of counter-signal that bulls may want to see. If demand returns while network activity stays high, the current fear could look different in hindsight.

The contrast is important because social sentiment and network activity are measuring different things. One reflects what people are saying, while the other shows how many addresses are active on the ledger during the period being measured at that time.

Ripple Executives Expected At White House Meeting

Meanwhile, another development is drawing attention in this XRP news cycle. XRP community member with 280K followers on X, BankXRP, reported that US President Donald Trump is expected to attend a White House meeting with crypto executives. Bloomberg also reported the anticipated meeting, saying that the executives might also include Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse among others.

The report said the meeting will come ahead of the first meeting of the new CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee. Coinbase, Gemini, Robinhood, Polymarket and Kalshi were also named as companies expected to be represented.

For Ripple, having Garlinghouse at a meeting involving major crypto firms and policy discussions puts the company in a notable position.

That makes the development important for the wider XRP story, but it should not be treated as a direct price signal. A White House meeting can raise expectations around crypto policy, yet the immediate effect on XRP remains uncertain. The key point is that Ripple is being linked to a high-level discussion involving the US crypto sector.

XRP Price Faces A Key Decision Zone

The XRP price is now sitting at a level where traders are watching the next move closely. Crypto analyst EGRAG CRYPTO said XRP is caught between several moving averages and trend lines on the five-day chart, creating a key decision area.

According to the analysis, the main support structure is marked as a white zone. If XRP loses that area, EGRAG sees possible moves toward $0.85 and then $0.77. Such a move would mean a deeper reset and could make a recovery take longer.

There is also a more positive path. EGRAG said a close above $1.18 could improve the chart structure and make a recovery move easier. The analyst identified the $1.18 to $1.20 area as the level that could change the current setup.

For now, the XRP price is being pulled between weak sentiment and stronger network activity. The next major test will be whether the coin can hold its structure and attract fresh demand per XRP news updates. Until then, the XRP Ledger activity gives the market one reason for hope, while the price chart shows that risks remain.
