Avalanche is caught in the middle of two very different stories right now, and traders are trying to figure out which one wins.
On one side, buyers who jumped in during the recent bounce look trapped as the price slips back toward support.
On the other, AVAX's real-world asset story keeps growing louder, even as a fresh token unlock adds new supply into the mix.
This Avalanche Price Prediction looks at whether the RWA growth narrative can outweigh the unlock pressure or whether trapped buyers are in for more pain before AVAX finds its footing again.

AVAX Token Unlock: What the Post Claims

A post from account IFreqs claims AVAX is set to unlock 1.67M tokens worth roughly $10.7M this week, framing it as a fresh supply entering the market without needing a new sell-off narrative to explain price weakness.
Source: Data From X
Interestingly, the chart embedded in that same post shows a different figure, an unlock in 28 days worth $10.36M, which doesn't fully match the "this week" claim in the text.
Given that inconsistency, treat the exact unlock timing and size as a third-party estimate rather than a confirmed schedule until a primary source like Avalanche's own docs or a tokenomics tracker confirms it.

AVAX RWA Growth: What the Post Claims

TWJ News claims Avalanche's real-world asset (RWA, meaning traditional assets like bonds or funds represented on-chain) value has surged nearly 8x in a year, growing from $242M to $1.93B, with the platform Securitize accounting for over half of that total.
The post frames this as evidence Avalanche could become a leading settlement layer for tokenized assets.
As with the unlock figure above, this is a third-party estimate without a documented on-chain source, date, or measurement method, so it's worth treating as a claim rather than a verified data point.

AVAX is trading at $6.2826, Price has spent the past few weeks consolidating in a range roughly between $6.3732 and $6.7741, with a sharp wick down to $6.1210 breaking that range just before the current candle.
The EMA 20 (Exponential Moving Average over 20 candles, a momentum indicator that weights recent price action more heavily) sits at $6.4101, with the EMA 50 just above it at $6.4666, both now sitting above the current price after the recent drop.
RSI (14) reads 39.64, leaning toward weak momentum without being deeply oversold.

Avalanche Forecast: Bull Case vs. Bear Case

AVAX price target 2026 Bull case: If price reclaims the $6.3732 level and holds above it, along with the EMA 20 and EMA 50 cluster near $6.4101 to $6.4666, we could see a recovery push back toward the consolidation top at $6.7741 and eventually the higher resistance zones.
Continued momentum in the RWA growth narrative could add fuel to that move if it plays out as claimed.
AVAX price target 2026 Bear case: If the price breaks below the first confirmed support at $6.1210, it could fall further toward the deeper support at $5.8742, especially if this week's unlock does add fresh sell pressure, as the post suggests.
Buyers who entered during the recent bounce would stay trapped under the EMA cluster in that scenario.

AVAX price target: Can AVAX Reach $7.2468?

$7.2468 is the highest resistance level marked on the chart.
Getting there would need AVAX to first reclaim the broken range floor at $6.3732, clear the EMA 20 and EMA 50 cluster around $6.41 to $6.47, then push through the consolidation top at $6.7741 and the next resistance at $7.0032, a multi-stage recovery rather than a quick move.

What Could Invalidate the Bullish Setup?

A failure to reclaim $6.3732, followed by a close below the first confirmed support at $6.1210, would put any recovery attempt in doubt.
A deeper break below the $5.8742 support would suggest trapped buyers are capitulating and that unlock-driven supply pressure is outweighing the RWA growth story for now.

Avalanche Price Prediction: Expert View

According to CoinGabbar analysts, AVAX is stuck between a bullish long-term narrative and near-term technical weakness.
The RWA growth claims, if accurate, point to genuine ecosystem traction, but they haven't yet translated into price strength given the recent drop below the EMA cluster.
This week's token unlock adds a real near-term variable, even with some inconsistency in the exact figures reported.
The $6.1210 to $6.3732 range looks like the key battleground: reclaiming it would ease pressure on trapped buyers, while losing it would confirm the bears are still in control.
