Crypto traders enter August with fresh optimism after several altcoins posted strong weekly gains. Technical charts also show improving momentum across selected projects. While risks remain, a few tokens now stand above the rest because price action continues to strengthen. Unibase, Cardano, and Algorand each present different opportunities for traders. Strong chart structures, improving sentiment, and project developments place all three among the leading altcoins worth watching during the first week of August.

Unibase delivered one of the strongest performances during the past week. The AI-focused project climbed 61% over seven days and added another 11% during the last day. UB now trades near $0.1943 with a market value approaching $486 million. Buyers gained control after price broke above a long-term descending resistance line on July 17. Since that breakout, the trend has produced higher highs and higher lows without interruption. Price now tests the 0.236 Fibonacci level around $0.1928. Holding above that area could send UB toward the April high near $0.2466. A short pullback would likely find support around $0.1595. Stronger support rests much lower near $0.1056. Traders should also watch momentum carefully. Trading volume continues to decline despite rising prices.

Cardano's ADA gained 24% during the past week after recovering from June weakness. ADA now changes hands near $0.1945. Buyers defended the $0.15 support area several times after the earlier breakdown from a descending channel. The latest rebound started on July 28 and pushed price back toward a major resistance zone. The next challenge sits around $0.20, where technical barriers continue to gather. The 0.382 Fibonacci level and the lower edge of the previous channel strengthen that resistance. A successful move above both levels could open the path toward $0.23. Momentum also supports the current advance.

Algorand advanced 13% during the past week and now trades near $0.0904. Buyers stepped in around the important $0.08 support zone before driving price higher. The recovery quickly reached resistance near $0.0923. Sellers defended that level several times during June, making another breakout attempt very important. Another barrier waits near $0.1024. Clearing that level would improve the medium-term outlook. Current trading volume remains weaker than Cardano, suggesting buyers still need stronger conviction. The Relative Strength Index stands near 62 and leaves room for additional gains before reaching overbought conditions. Fresh attention surrounding Algorand's quantum security roadmap also supports market interest.

Unibase offers the strongest recent price momentum despite weakening volume. Cardano combines healthy technical strength with positive network developments. Algorand still faces major resistance but continues showing early recovery signs. These three altcoins deserve close attention during the first week of August 2026.
