The largest cryptocurrency currently trades around $62,000, and that decline has pulled many altcoins toward deeper losses.</p><p>Several factors have contributed to the crypto market crash:</p><ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Billions of dollars have left United States spot Bitcoin ETFs, which removed an important source of market demand.</li><li>Persistent inflation has encouraged the Federal Reserve to delay expected interest rate cuts.</li><li>Geopolitical tensions involving the United States and Iran have pushed crude oil prices higher and complicated the inflation outlook.</li><li>Retail capital has moved from digital assets toward <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://captainaltcoin.com/best-ai-crypto-projects/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">artificial intelligence</a> technology stocks.</li><li>Heavy liquidations erased more than $1 billion from leveraged long positions during major selloffs.</li></ul><p>Matthew Perry explained that Bitcoin needs a steady supply of new buyers to absorb available coins. ADA briefly recovered toward $0.275 during May and came close to $0.20 during early July. Later selloffs erased those recoveries and returned the token near its yearly bottom around $0.137.</p><p>A look at the Cardano price chart shows ADA remaining below $0.20 since June. The token currently trades near $0.163 and remains beneath the 50 day exponential moving average around $0.175.</p><p>Weak network usage has made a recovery more difficult. Cardano transaction volume and decentralized finance total value locked remain low compared with Ethereum and Solana. Large wallet holders have continued to accumulate ADA gradually, although that activity has not produced a clear price recovery.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="cardano-ecosystem-problems-have-added-pressure-to-ada-price">Cardano Ecosystem Problems Have Added Pressure to ADA Price</h2><p>Broader market weakness only explains part of Cardano’s decline. Internal governance disagreements, developer project closures, and the cancellation of the 2026 Cardano Summit have damaged confidence in the ecosystem.</p><p>Regulatory delays created another obstacle. He recently wrote on X that Cardano’s best days remain ahead and pointed toward plans for a major funding overhaul.</p><p>“I still do believe our best days are ahead of us, and I still do believe that we can succeed despite the demons we’ve let in,” Hoskinson wrote.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="cardano-price-must-protect-0-137-before-targeting-a-recovery">Cardano Price Must Protect $0.137 Before Targeting a Recovery</h2><p>Cardano price currently has important support around $0.137. ADA first needs to break above $0.19, which has limited recent attempts to recover.</p><p>A successful move beyond $0.19 could open the path toward $0.242 and $0.30. Cardano price would then need to clear $0.30 before a move toward $0.43 becomes more realistic. That final level stands close to Cardano’s 2026 high and would require much stronger market demand.</p><p>Current conditions point toward consolidation between major support and resistance.
