Exchange Holdings Rise by $10 Million

The total dollar value of @PiCoreTeam's native $PI token sitting on exchanges has climbed by approximately $10 million, according to the latest on-chain data from PiScan. The move is a notable shift from just one week earlier: on July 14, less than $40 million worth of $PI was available on exchanges, weighed down by reduced accumulation and a price decline that pushed the token to a record low.

That July 14 low is now well-documented on the charts. Pi Network's lowest price was recorded on July 14, 2026, when it was trading at its all-time low of $0.07085. Since then, the token has bounced sharply, with buying interest returning across several platforms.

The recovery in exchange-held value aligns with a broader uptick in trading activity. $PI is up nearly 30% over the past 30 days, with volume rising in particular on @OKX and @Bitget. In the last seven days alone, Pi Network has been outperforming the global cryptocurrency market, which is up 3.50%, as well as similar Layer 1 cryptocurrencies, which are up 1.30%.

The 24-hour trading volume of $PI recently reached $38,423,285, representing a 103.40% increase from one day prior, signalling a notable rise in market activity. Bitget offers spot trading for $PI through the PI/USDT pair, with a 24-hour trading volume of $2,750,559.

$PI's market capitalisation currently stands at approximately $1.07 billion, ranking it #61 on CoinGecko. Despite the recent recovery, the token still faces structural headwinds. The current yearly supply inflation rate sits at 61.21%, meaning approximately 4.15 billion $PI were created in the last year. Whether the uptick in exchange holdings reflects genuine accumulation or a repositioning ahead of potential selling pressure remains an open question for the market.

For holders tracking on-chain flows, the direction of exchange balances in the coming days will be a key indicator of whether this recovery has legs.
