Bitcoin’s largest investors have accumulated 66,700 BTC over the past 60 days while mid-sized holders moved in the opposite direction. According to CryptoQuant data, the contrasting on-chain activity shows that large wallets are steadily absorbing Bitcoin released by smaller market participants despite recent market volatility.
The latest blockchain metrics reveal a growing divide between two major investor groups. Wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC recorded their strongest accumulation since February. Meanwhile, wallets holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC sold Bitcoin at one of the fastest rates seen in recent months.
Moreover, Bitcoin recently retested the $65,000 level as investors evaluated changing market conditions. Even with price fluctuations, the largest holders increased their exposure instead of reducing it, reflecting stronger long-term conviction.

According to CryptoQuant, wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC accumulated approximately 66,700 BTC during the past 60 days. That figure came close to the 68,000 BTC recorded in mid-June and marked the highest accumulation level since February. At the same time, wallets holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC sold roughly 77,800 BTC over the same period. Significantly, this group had accumulated more than 92,000 BTC in late April before reversing course during recent weeks.

Consequently, the data suggests Bitcoin is changing hands instead of flooding the market. Large investors appear willing to absorb available supply, helping reduce immediate selling pressure despite ongoing market uncertainty. Additionally, the diverging activity highlights different investment strategies. While whales are expanding their holdings, mid-sized investors appear to be taking profits or reducing risk. This transfer of coins has attracted market attention because it reflects shifting ownership rather than broad market distribution.
CryptoQuant’s data indicates that a significant portion of available Bitcoin is moving into larger wallets. As a result, supply entering the open market remains relatively limited despite increased selling from mid-sized holders.

Conclusion

Bitcoin’s latest on-chain data highlights a clear divergence between major investor groups. Whales accumulated 66,700 BTC while wallets holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC sold 77,800 BTC during the same period. The trend suggests ownership is shifting toward larger holders, with much of the available supply being absorbed instead of entering the broader market.
