Even when Wall Street shuts its doors for the weekend, trading on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/tag/solana" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana</a>&nbsp;carries on without interruption. A recent case involving RoboStrategy shows just how significant that difference can be.
RoboStrategy (Nasdaq: BOT), a closed-end fund focused on private robotics and physical AI companies, recorded more trading volume on Solana on a Sunday than it did on the <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/tag/nasdaq" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Nasdaq</a> the following business day, according to data shared by Solana on X.

<h2 id="a-sunday-that-outpaced-a-monday">A Sunday that outpaced a Monday</h2>
BOT is ordinarily a Nasdaq-listed stock, which means it only trades during standard U.S. market hours from Monday through Friday.
However, a tokenized version of the stock also trades on Solana, a <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/tag/solana-blockchain" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">blockchain network</a> designed for fast and low-cost transactions that continues operating around the clock, including weekends.
On Sunday, July 12, the tokenized version of BOT recorded $12.86 million in trading volume on Solana. The following day, with Nasdaq open for regular trading, BOT did $9.8 million in volume. In other words, the onchain version of the stock moved more money on a day when traditional markets were closed than the actual stock did during a full trading session.
Solana's post also noted that 68.5% of that Sunday volume came from registered Frontier Traders, suggesting the activity reflected a genuinely engaged base of users rather than a brief, isolated spike.
The timing is worth noting as well. RoboStrategy had recently <a href="https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2026/07/15/3327748/0/en/robostrategy-inc-raises-approximately-16-0-million-through-private-share-issuances-including-10-0-million-investment-by-ceo-andrew-kang.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">completed</a> a series of private share issuances between July 7 and July 14, raising approximately $16 million at an average price of $35.50 per share. It remains unclear whether that capital raise directly contributed to the weekend's trading activity, though the overlap in timing stands out.

<h2 id="solana-s-expanding-role-in-tokenized-stocks">Solana's expanding role in tokenized stocks</h2>
This is far from an isolated example. Solana has steadily built a lead in the broader market for tokenized <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/tag/rwas-real-world-assets" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">real-world assets</a>.
According to data from <a href="https://app.rwa.xyz/networks" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">rwa.xyz</a>, Solana <a href="https://x.com/solana/status/2077542615868719167" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">now counts 301,074 holders</a> of tokenized real-world assets, the highest of any blockchain by that measure, ahead of Plume's 247,755, <a href="https://thestreet.com/crypto/ethereum" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a>'s 200,860, and <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/tag/bnb" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BNB Chain</a>'s 118,840 holders.
The network currently holds approximately $3.01 billion in <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">tokenized assets</a> spanning 2,121 different asset types, having briefly touched an all-time high of $3.62 billion earlier this month.
By total value, Solana ranks third among all networks, behind Ethereum and BNB Chain, though it leads decisively when measured by the number of individual holders.
<a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/solana-users-can-trade-spacex-stock-starting-june-12" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Related: Solana users can trade SpaceX stock starting June 12</a>
Tokenized equities in particular have driven much of that growth. Solana recorded $3.47 billion in tokenized equity trading volume in June, a new monthly record, and accounted for more than 96% of all tokenized equity trading volume across every blockchain that month, according to data from <a href="https://blockworks.com/analytics/solana/solana-competitive-landscape/solana-share-of-tokenized-equities-spot-volume" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Blockworks</a>.&nbsp;

That figure suggests Solana is not simply hosting these tokenized assets, but has become the primary venue where the actual trading takes place.

Solana's collection of <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/tag/tokenization" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">tokenized stocks</a> grew further on July 16, when the network announced that HOODx, a tokenized version of Robinhood Markets (Nasdaq: HOOD) stock, had gone live.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet">

<a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/tag/robinhood" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Robinhood</a> is a commission-free trading platform widely used by retail investors to buy stocks, options, and crypto.
