American Bitcoin Corp. (NASDAQ: ABTC), a hybrid mining and treasury firm co-founded by Eric Trump, reported holdings of 8,000 <a href="https://coineagle.com/price/bitcoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin (BTC)</a> on July 7, 2026.
At a market price near $62,725, the treasury is valued at approximately $504 million.
According to data from <a href="https://bitcointreasuries.net" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BitcoinTreasuries.net</a>, the company ranks among the 20 largest corporate Bitcoin holders globally.
Its holdings place it ahead of Galaxy Digital and Gemini Space Station Inc. in the corporate treasury rankings.
The milestone was reached as Bitcoin traded around $62,600, down about 1.1% over 24 hours.
Market participants are monitoring the $60,000 level as a key support zone, while price projections for July remain focused on higher resistance levels.
<h2 id="treasury-expansion-and-industry-position">Treasury Expansion and Industry Position</h2>
The 8,000 BTC total marks an increase from roughly 5,401 BTC held at the end of 2025, based on Bitcoin Magazine data.
The company expands its treasury through internal mining operations and open-market purchases.
BSC News reported that ABTC added 1,620 BTC in the first quarter of 2026, including 817 BTC from mining production.
Despite this growth, a significant gap remains between ABTC and industry leader Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR), formerly MicroStrategy.
Strategy holds 843,775 BTC, valued at over $52.9 billion at current prices, according to public disclosures.
Strategy’s capital-raising structure, including at-the-market offerings to fund Bitcoin purchases, is widely referenced in corporate treasury discussions.
Eric Trump stated on X that the company continues accumulating Bitcoin and highlighted operational metrics from the first quarter.
He cited a 52% mining margin and comparatively low selling, general, and administrative expenses as indicators of efficiency.
<h2 id="financial-performance-and-equity-market-response">Financial Performance and Equity Market Response</h2>
In Q1 2026, ABTC reported a net loss of $81.8 million amid weaker Bitcoin prices.
The company’s all-in mining cost per BTC stood at approximately $36,200 by the end of the quarter.
Since its Nasdaq debut in September 2025, ABTC shares have declined 94%.
A 1-for-15 reverse stock split was followed by an additional 38% drop in share price.
A <a href="https://www.forbes.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Forbes</a> report estimated that roughly $500 million in shareholder value has been erased since the company went public.
The divergence between reported mining margins and shareholder returns highlights the pressures facing publicly traded Bitcoin mining firms.
With 8,000 BTC on its balance sheet, ABTC has expanded its footprint among corporate holders, while its equity performance continues to reflect broader market volatility.
