Telegram Open Network [IOU]

STON.fi has officially rolled out its Cross-Chain (Beta) swapping feature. But this isn't just a basic UI upgrade.
Behind the scenes sits Omniston a protocol changing how cross-chain liquidity moves without relying on vulnerable bridges.
Let's look at the exact mechanics Stonfi of how it works 🧵👇<img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/d3d6af4be3cb48a8a1c288a2d8c7ed01.png">
<h2 id="strong-why-traditional-bridges-are-broken-strong">Why Traditional Bridges Are Broken?</h2>
Most cross-chain swaps rely on locking assets in a centralized/shared vault on Chain A, then minting a 'wrapped' copy (like wbtc) on Chain B.
<ul>
 <li>).The Risk: Those massive asset vaults are honeypots for smart contract hackers ( lost historically recent e.g <a href="https://x.com/@KelpDAO" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@KelpDAO</a> &amp; <a href="https://x.com/@DriftProtocol" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@DriftProtocol</a></li>
 <li>The Omniston Solution: No wrapping, no shared vaults, and no custodians. Native assets stay native on both sides. 🔗Bridge from here : <a href="https://app.ston.fi/swap?mode=cross-chain&amp;in=ton%3AUSD%E2%82%AE" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Stonfi Bridge</a></li>
</ul>
Step 1: The Request for Quote Marketplace
(e.g., USDT on TON to an asset on Base/Ethereum): 👉When you enter a swap on<a href="https://ston.fi/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">STON.fi</a>
1️⃣ The protocol broadcasts your request to a network of independent Resolvers (professional liquidity providers).
2️⃣ These resolvers compete against each other in real-time to offer you the tightest spread and best rate.
3️⃣ Your wallet automatically selects the best winning quote. Step 2: The HTLC Cryptographic Lock Once a quote is selected, settlement is managed through Hashed Timelock Contracts (HTLC) on both chains.
<ul>
 <li>A cryptographic secret (hashlock) is generated on your behalf.</li>
 <li>Your source assets are temporarily locked on TON, while the resolver locks the equivalent destination assets on the target EVM chain.</li>
 <li>Once the secret is revealed on-chain, both legs settle simultaneously. It's a single cryptographic event! </li>
</ul>
<h3 id="the-all-or-nothing-security-guarantee">The "All-or-Nothing" Security Guarantee</h3>
Because of HTLC rules, there are only 3 absolute outcomes:
1️⃣ Success: Secret disclosed $\rightarrow$ both parties get their quoted assets.
2️⃣ Resolver Fails: Timeout hits $\rightarrow$ user is automatically refunded.
3️⃣ Secret Never Disclosed: Timeout hits $\rightarrow$ resolver is refunded. There is zero execution path where your funds just "get stuck" or stolen mid-transit. <img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/8bef08f698424181bc8a66f8a07903c0.png">

To add to this momentum, the network token has officially rebranded from Toncoin to Gram (<a href="https://x.com/search?q=%24GRAM&amp;src=cashtag_click" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">$GRAM</a>) following an 81.22% community approval vote!
<ul>
 <li>.The chain is still 'The Open Network' (TON), but the native currency is now <a href="https://x.com/search?q=%24GRAM&amp;src=cashtag_click" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">$GRAM</a></li>
 <li>Security Check: If you hold balances, they update automatically- do NOT click any external links claiming to "migrate" your tokens.</li>
</ul>
The Omniston beta currently supports TON, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, and Polygon. Have you tried it yet? Let me know! 👇 <react-video url="https://youtube.com/shorts/mQQPuruADMA?si=R-RqlSmEpqwgR5HO"></react-video>
