The crypto market experienced a heavy fall in prices over the past 24 hours, mostly for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Both the pioneer crypto asset and the pioneer altcoin asset fell recently. However, aBTC fell aamoare dramatically, allowing altseason hopes to remain steady. One expert goes on to highlight how Bitcoin Dominance prints death cross for the first time in over 5 years.

Bitcoin Dominance Prints Death Cross for First Time in Over 5 Years

Over the past 24 hours, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a mighty dip. In detail, the asset fell dramatically in price twice in under two days. In particular, the asset dumped from $73,900 to $70,600, liquidating $648 million and then again in a short time to a much lower target at $67,200, liquidating another $620 million. This amounts to total market liquidation of $1.30 billion in the past 24 hours alone.

While this dip is not as brutal as that of the $20 billion liquidation event of October 2025, it still marks a historic moment in Bitcoin’s price movement. According to many bearish analysts, the price of BTC will only go on to dip towards lower price targets until the asset bottoms around the $40,000 price range, marking the peak of the bear market phase. In contrast, bullish analysts remain cautiously optimistic.

This Move Highlights Bullish Altseason Ahead

Thus, on this line of bullish expectations, bullish analysts believe BTC is simply setting higher price bottoms before it goes on to set new ATH prices over the coming months. Despite these differing points of view, analysts on both sides of this thesis seem tentatively optimistic for a partial altseason phase to play out. So far, a handful of altcoins are already printing promising profits for their holders.

As we can see from the post above, this popular crypto analyst and trader shed light on the Bitcoin Dominance chart. Here, he highlights how the death cross has been printed in the BTC Dominance chart for the first time in over 5 years. Based on this outlook, the analyst is certain that the prices of promising altcoin assets will go on to surge in price over the coming days. For a few months, the analyst has stated that the harder BTC falls, the more powerful the altseason phase will be.

As we can see from the post above, this popular crypto trader and analyst draws attention to three particular altcoins that could outperform the market over the coming weeks and months. Over the past few months, all eyes were on ETH, XRP, and ADA, as these assets had yet to surge. Now, after assets like XLM saw a pump, many are watching altcoins NEAR, HYPE, and FET closely.
