YoungHoon Kim, recognized by the World Memory Championships as the world’s highest IQ holder, recently <a href="https://x.com/yhbryankimiq/status/2060036730166886655" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">declared</a> his conviction in XRP, publicly stating that the asset is about to explode.
Many investors and institutions have shown confidence in XRP, but its recent price action challenges Kim’s narrative, and many community members had strong opinions about his comment.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet">
 XRP IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE. XRP IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE. XRP IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE. XRP IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE. XRP IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE.

While Kim has consistently shown support for XRP, he received significant criticism from the community for his post. Many commenters criticized his choice to back his claims with his status as the world’s highest IQ holder, with some making personal attacks.
One commenter <a href="https://x.com/i/status/2060070342165758326" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">pointed out</a> that many of his XRP predictions have not come true. Another <a href="https://x.com/i/status/2060050673371107606" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">claimed</a> that the asset falls further every time Kim makes these bullish posts. Others <a href="https://x.com/i/status/2060073520403521616" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">accused</a> Kim of engagement farming, attempting to get the attention of the XRP army with outlandish claims about the asset’s future.
Kim received some support, with one commenter <a href="https://x.com/i/status/2060225002624942088" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">stating</a> he would <a href="https://timestabloid.com/expert-says-xrp-at-1-is-a-blessing-in-disguise-heres-why/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">take advantage of the current low prices</a> to accumulate XRP. However, most commenters challenged Kim’s opinion that XRP is about to explode, <a href="https://x.com/i/status/2060120829258822028" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">asking</a> for proof.
<h2 id="strong-is-xrp-about-to-explode-strong">Is XRP About to Explode?</h2>
ChartNerd (ChartNerdTA), a well-known analyst who has also <a href="https://timestabloid.com/analyst-if-history-repeats-xrp-will-break-towards-8-once-this-happens/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">shared bullish opinions</a> on XRP, <a href="https://x.com/i/status/2060237674737287276" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">called</a> him out, writing, “The community needed less of this, not more of it.” Analysts like ChartNerd back their claims with fundamental analysis and visible bullish catalysts, but personal opinions can send the wrong message to investors looking to navigate the complex market.
While ChartNerd and many other analysts are convinced that XRP has a bright future, current signs suggest the asset may continue its consolidation. The asset currently trades at $1.33, and the analyst recently <a href="https://timestabloid.com/analyst-to-xrp-holders-respect-bear-markets-or-be-eaten-alive-heres-why/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">warned investors to respect bear markets</a> or face consequences.

<h2 id="strong-what-investors-should-watch-strong">What Investors Should Watch</h2>
Kim recently stated that <a href="https://timestabloid.com/worlds-highest-iq-holder-goes-all-in-on-xrp/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">he is going all-in on XRP</a>. However, unless investors treat current levels as a buying opportunity, they must navigate the market carefully. The digital asset has yet to fully recover from the market-wide decline that pushed it down in February, and is far from reaching its 2026 peak of $2.4.
The asset has spent the past few months consolidating between $1.55 and $1.30. The first sign investors need to watch for is a breakout above the upper level. If the asset can overcome this resistance, it could reinforce the bullish sentiment and attract more investors. Until then, claims that the asset is about to explode will continue to face scrutiny.
