Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee stated that the cryptocurrency market is about to enter a new “super cycle,” and that Ethereum, in particular, will be one of the biggest winners in this process. While maintaining his long-term optimism for the crypto market, Lee noted that Ethereum’s current position presents significant opportunities for investors.
According to Tom Lee, there are two main driving forces behind the upcoming supercycle. The first is the asset tokenization process accelerated by Wall Street companies. It is predicted that the demand for Ethereum-based infrastructure will increase significantly as stocks, bonds, and various real assets in the traditional financial world move to the blockchain network. Lee argues that the increasing shift of the financial sector towards blockchain technology will centralize Ethereum.
Lee stated that the second major catalyst is the rise of AI-powered AI Agent technologies, adding that these systems will require blockchain-based payment and transaction infrastructures in the digital economy. According to him, Ethereum will be at the center of this transformation thanks to its developer ecosystem and robust infrastructure.
Tom Lee also stated that Ethereum’s past sharp price corrections have created an attractive buying opportunity for long-term investors. Arguing that market pullbacks are temporary, Lee said Ethereum will play a critical role in both financial tokenization and AI integration in the future.
Despite recent fluctuations in the crypto market, Tom Lee’s statements reveal that institutional expectations, particularly regarding Ethereum, continue to strengthen. The expert believes that a new period of growth may begin in the crypto sector in the coming years.
