The crypto market is taking a hit today. Bitcoin is sliding, the total market cap is down to $2.62T, and most coins are feeling the pressure. It's not a pretty day overall.
But not everything is red. The top crypto gainers today like QNT, LUNC, DEXE, OKB, and CHZ are all pushing higher despite the sell-off — and each one has its own story behind the move.
This blog breaks down exactly why crypto gainers today are up— the real reasons, kept simple and straight to the point.

Market Snapshot: Bitcoin Weakness Pulls Market Lower

The crypto market is down today. Total market cap sits around $2.62T, down 2.39%, and Bitcoin is the main reason things look the way they do right now.
Sentiment is neutral — Fear & Greed index at 45 — but derivatives activity is picking up, which is adding to the choppiness. Altcoins are struggling too and still trailing Bitcoin.
Bottom line: nobody's rushing to buy today, and that caution is keeping the whole sector under pressure.

QNT Price Today: Quant Climbs as Whale Buying Increases

QNT Current Price: $81.45 Market Cap: $983.45M Rank on CoinMarketCap: 57 24H Change: +4.45% 7D Change: +7.96% 24H High: $82.13

Why is QNT Price Up Today?

QNT crossed above key moving averages, which brought in fresh buyers who were waiting on the sidelines for exactly this signal.

Whales started stacking between $77–$80 instead of selling, and when big money holds, smaller traders tend to follow.

The Robinhood listing back in March quietly improved liquidity — so even during a rough day, demand didn't dry up.

QNT is holding its own among the biggest crypto gainers today, and the charts are doing all the talking.

LUNC Price Today: Terra Classic Holds Strong Amid Drop

LUNC Current Price: $0.00007666 Market Cap: $425.12M Rank on CoinMarketCap: 94 24H Change: +18.52% 7D Change: +79.79% 24H High: $0.00007992

Why is LUNC Price Up Today?

Bitcoin dropped 2.49% but LUNC barely moved — that tells you the people holding it aren't in a rush to leave.

The burn program is still running, slowly cutting down that massive supply, which keeps traders interested and volume healthy.

Price held right at the $0.000072 support zone analysts had marked — dip buyers showed up right on cue.

LUNC is one of the quieter top crypto gainers, but that steadiness is exactly what's keeping it green.

DEXE Price Today: DeXe Extends Rally Despite Weak Sentiment

DEXE Current Price: $13.21 Market Cap: $1.1B Rank on CoinMarketCap: 52 24H Change: +1.03% 7D Change: +8.99% 24H High: $13.40

Why is DEXE Price Up Today?

DEXE is up nearly 450% over 90 days — at that point, momentum alone keeps pulling buyers in.

It's a low-liquidity token, so it doesn't take much buying to push the price noticeably higher.

Money rotating out of underperforming DeFi coins landed here, giving DEXE another 6%+ push recently.

DEXE keeps showing up in the crypto gainers list by simply outperforming when the rest of the sector is bleeding.

OKB Price Today: OKB Gains on Rising Platform Activity

Why is OKB Price Up Today?

People are staking OKB for yield, and when the space get shaky, yield-bearing assets attract steady capital.

OKX rolling out commodity contracts for silver and oil brought more trading activity to the platform, which lifts OKB demand.

A $25B ICE valuation and a new Kraken listing gave OKB a credibility boost that's hard to ignore.

OKB is one of those crypto top gainers backed by actual platform growth, not just hype.

CHZ Price Today: Chiliz Rises Ahead of FIFA World Cup Buzz
