On-chain analytics firm Santiment flagged a dramatic rise in large-holder activity across several altcoins over the past week, with $JASMY topping the list. JasmyCoin recorded a 1,500% week-over-week jump in whale transactions, defined as onchain transfers worth at least $100,000. Santiment tracks altcoins with a market capitalisation above $100 million and monitors the highest percentage increases in large investor transactions of $100,000 and above. According to reports, the spike in JASMY ranked among the largest increases seen across crypto markets during the period.
Santiment cautions that a jump in whale transactions is not automatically a bullish signal. In practice, it tends to indicate volatility and a potential change in price direction, since large transfers can reflect either accumulation or distribution. That context is worth bearing in mind when interpreting the scale of JASMY's move.

ONDO and POL Also Draw Heavy Whale Interest

$ONDO and $POL posted their own sharp increases in large-holder activity over the same period. Ondo Finance saw whale transaction volumes climb 453% week over week, while POL recorded a 300% rise in transfers above the $100,000 threshold.
The timing is notable for ONDO in particular. On May 4, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation named Ondo Finance to its tokenization working group, which includes more than 50 financial firms. Two days later, Ondo, Kinexys by JPMorgan, Mastercard, and Ripple completed a cross-border pilot redemption of tokenized US Treasuries, with the transaction settling in under five seconds on the XRP Ledger outside traditional banking hours. Those developments highlight that ONDO's rally is driven by real catalysts, with onchain whale behaviour reinforcing the move. Santiment data showed whales holding between 1 million and 10 million ONDO grew their collective stash by roughly 38.67 million tokens over the past month.
For POL, Santiment data also linked the recent price upswing to increased whale accumulation. Analysts broadly treat a sharp rise in large-holder transactions as a potential indicator of growing institutional interest, though it does not guarantee price appreciation on its own.
