As the price of the pioneer crypto asset, Bitcoin (BTC), continues to trade above the $81,000 price range, sentiment for altcoin assets to surge grows strong accordingly. Presently, the price of the pioneer crypto asset, Ethereum (ETH), is trading above $2,300, which is another strong indicator for a bullish peak altseason phase. Despite the growing expectations for an altcoin price surge phase, Arthur Hayes warns that most altcoins could go to zero.

With both BTC and ETH trading at steadily higher prices most altcoin traders have been very enthusiastic about a bullish altseason peak phase to arrive for the altcoin sector. If this phase were to arrive, it has certainly been a long wait, especially considering how the price of BTC went on to hit several new ATH prices over the last two years, while only a handful of altcoins set new ATH prices of their own.

In fact, the few altcoin assets that did set new ATH prices in the latest bull run were not as impressive as their altseason rally in the previous bull cycle, leading experts to believe that a much more impressive altseason pump phase will occur before the bear market phase can begin. This prediction also falls in line with the 5-year supercycle prediction that most experts have been debating over the last two quarters.

In detail, financial experts have stated that the extension of the business cycle and the lack of liquidity in the market have resulted in the elongation of the bull cycle. Thus, they concluded that the crypto market will experience a short crypto winter before the bull market will continue, allowing both Bitcoin and altcoins to set new ATH prices in the coming months. Others believe another dip is likely to occur before the surge to close crucial CME gaps.

As anticipation for a bullish altseason phase grows, experts and enthusiasts are now looking at what altcoin assets could yield promising gains when the bull run phase returns. During this comeback, promising altcoin assets that are already showing strong bullish indicators such as ETH, ADA, and XRP are all set to rise. However, many others are expected not to survive and a culling of assets with no utility is expected, leading to a glorious altcoin future.

As we can see from the post above, Arthur Hayes, the CEO of BitMEX, warns that most altcoins will go to zero this bull cycle. He framed that 99% of altcoins may lose all value and that this is just a normal market cycle rather than a collapse of crypto. Hayes compared it to long-term turnover in major equity indices and argues that weaker projects get cleared as the industry matures. The broader altcoin ecosystem, he said, will continue to evolve.
