Hyperliquid’s HYPE Markets Expand Chainlink’s Prediction Market Role

Polymarket has launched five-minute HYPE up-or-down markets, with Chainlink securing the related market infrastructure. Chainlink noted that Polymarket has processed more than $6 billion in volume.
Prediction markets have gained stronger attention as traders use event contracts for short-term views on prices, politics, sports, and economic data. In this case, the new HYPE markets focus on rapid five-minute outcomes.
Hyperliquid recently launched outcome contracts through HIP-4, allowing binary markets that settle at 0 or 1. These contracts differ from perpetual futures, as they do not use leverage or liquidation mechanics. In recent reporting, Hyperliquid’s HIP-4 event contracts recorded 6.05 million contracts in nominal day-one prediction market volume on mainnet. The launch introduced BTC daily binary markets, giving traders yes-or-no exposure to defined Bitcoin outcomes. Settlement uses USDH, while traders can open positions with zero fees.

Day-one data placed Hyperliquid at about 0.7% of the daily prediction market share. Kalshi leads the market with over 500 million contracts, while Polymarket ranks second with 190 million contracts. Limitless, Crypto.com and Opinion round up the top five.
In the meantime, Polymarket is currently one of the most active prediction market platforms, with good liquidity in event-based contracts. The Chainlink-based HYPE market offers a faster trading alternative pegged to the native token of Hyperliquid.
The most recent list of Chainlink adoptions is not limited to prediction markets. Chainlink CCIP has been selected by Huma Finance as the sole cross-chain infrastructure of its core yield product and future yield products. A decentralized derivatives platform called GMX also features in the new ecosystem update.
Moreover, AWS Cloud’s inclusion shows that Chainlink’s reach now extends beyond crypto-native projects. MegaETH connects the update to high-speed blockchain infrastructure, while Memento covers asset management and Raven Market adds options activity.
Over the past 24 hours, LINK price rose 3.6% to $9.44, while trading volume jumped more than 70% to $527 million and HYPE gained 1% to $41.59.
