The cryptocurrency exchange published the notice confirming its support for the scheduled Polygon (POL) v2 7.0 network upgrade. The announcement identifies April 29, 2026 as the date for the upgrade event.

Polygon remains one of the more widely used layer-2 scaling networks, and exchange support announcements like this one are standard procedure ahead of protocol-level changes. For context, exchanges across the industry have recently been adjusting to various network upgrades, similar to how Coinbase has been expanding its asset listing roadmap to keep pace with evolving token ecosystems.

What the April 29, 2026 Update Means for Bybit Users

POL holders who use Bybit for trading or custody should pay close attention to this notice. Network upgrades can temporarily affect deposit and withdrawal functionality on exchanges, even when the exchange has committed to supporting the upgrade.

Bybit's announcement does not specify whether deposits or withdrawals will be paused during the transition. Users should check Bybit's official announcements page for any follow-up notices detailing operational changes around the upgrade window.

This kind of proactive exchange communication matters particularly for active traders. Similar to how LayerZero Labs recently pledged significant ETH resources to support ecosystem stability, exchange-level support for network upgrades helps maintain continuity for users during protocol transitions.

What to Watch After the Support Announcement

With the upgrade date set for April 29, 2026, the next updates to watch for are confirmation that the network upgrade completed successfully and that Bybit has resumed normal POL network operations. Exchanges typically publish a follow-up notice once deposits and withdrawals are fully restored.

Users should also keep an eye on Polygon's own official channels for technical details about the v2 7.0 upgrade. As the broader crypto market continues to see infrastructure-level shifts, including developments like firms pivoting between mining and AI infrastructure, network upgrades remain a routine but important part of blockchain maintenance.

For now, no further action is required beyond staying informed through Bybit's announcements ahead of the April 29 date.
