Ethereum

Record

An Ethereum at 3,000 dollars is not traded in haste in such a nervous market. Crypto investors must contend with several opposing forces, sometimes invisible but always present. Now, Ethereum moves like a cornered boxer, forced to read every move before striking. And in this tight match, some are already accumulating while others are still hesitating to enter the arena.

In brief

Ethereum whales’ activity jumped from 123 to 2,055 transactions in just three days.

About 466,500 ETH joined accumulation addresses, indicating a strategic positioning by whales.

Ethereum whales go on the attack and shake the market

First, the figures emerge like an alert in the crypto industry. The activity of Ethereum whales exploded sharply in a few days. Then, it rose from 123 transactions to 2,055 between March 21 and March 24. Afterwards, calm quickly returns, with about 239 transactions observed thereafter.

The activity of whales on the Ethereum network recently saw a strong rise. Transactions increased from 123 on March 21 to 2,055 on March 24, marking an increase of over 1,500%. Since then, activity has cooled significantly, with whale transactions falling back around 239 today.
Ali Martinez, crypto analyst.

Next, the flows confirm this tension. Around 466,500 ETH joined accumulation addresses during the recent crypto market pullback. However, the price does not yet clearly follow this dynamic. The crypto market remains hesitant, almost wary.

Then, some technical indicators change tone. The SuperTrend turns bullish for the first time in several months. The MVRV enters a buy zone, which intrigues experienced crypto investors.

The crypto market under pressure: an unstable ground ready to give way

Then, the scene hardens sharply in the crypto market. Ethereum trades around 2,000 dollars, without clear impulsion. The problem is not only the price but the structure of the crypto market.

The leverage ratio now reaches 0.99495738, a historic high for Ethereum. This means speculation is almost equivalent to the reserves available on crypto exchanges.

When the leverage ratio reaches such high levels, the futures market structure becomes much more fragile. Under these conditions, even a slight price movement can trigger liquidation cascades, increase volatility, and accelerate violent moves in both directions.
Carmelo Alemán, on-chain analyst at CryptoQuant.

However, signals remain contradictory in the crypto sphere. Some whales aggressively accumulate Ethereum while others reduce their exposure. Dip-buying also shows signs of fatigue.

Ultimately, Ethereum still attracts crypto investors, but the ground remains unstable. A bad impulse could trigger a rapid chain reaction.

Ethereum prepares its future while investors doubt

Then, Ethereum already looks beyond the current crypto market turbulences. The Post-Quantum Ethereum project is preparing resistance against quantum computers by 2029.

This approach relies on zk-SNARK signatures, capable of enhancing crypto wallets’ security. Then, this evolution targets key layers of the Ethereum network, notably consensus and execution.

Meanwhile, activity is gradually returning to Ethereum L1 in the crypto industry. Stablecoins and tokenized assets are approaching historic highs. Coinbase highlights a clear structural advantage.

Ethereum benefits from better composability and higher execution density than L2 solutions. Yet, despite this comeback, the crypto market remains cautious.

Key data to watch on Ethereum

Whales’ activity multiplied by more than fifteen in a few days on Ethereum;

Accumulation of 466,500 ETH during a recent crypto market pullback;

Record leverage ratio at 0.99495738 indicating strong structural fragility;

ETH price estimated at 2,002 dollars at the time of writing;

Return of activity and stablecoins towards Ethereum L1 confirmed.

Therefore, Ethereum advances between immediate pressure and structural ambition in the crypto market. However, a discreet factor deserves attention. The scarcity of ETH is accelerating under the effect of staking, gradually reducing the available supply. If this dynamic persists, it could turn this uncertain phase into a real turning point for Ethereum.
