As cryptocurrencies attract a broader user base, wallet security must become simpler and more resilient, the crypto wallet company&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/major-wallet-provider-reports-sensitive-customer-data-leak" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ledger</a>'s Vice President of Enterprise, Sebastien Badault,&nbsp;said.Speaking withTheStreet <a href="https://roundtable.rtb.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Roundtable</a>host <a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/author/mehab-qureshi" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Mehab Qureshi</a>,&nbsp;Badault acknowledged that while self-custody is central to crypto security, the industry is still trying to address the complexity, such as the requirement for users to use 24-word recovery phrases.<blockquote>"The 24-words is a great way to protect yourself, but it's also something that can be a bit of an issue if you lose it."</blockquote>If a user loses his wallet device, they can buy another device and get everything back with the 24-words&nbsp;recovery phrase. But if&nbsp;a user loses their 24 words, it's a serious problem, he explained.<a href="https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/explained/what-is-a-cold-wallet" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Related: What is a cold wallet?
