XRP ETF

Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy) recently shared a video featuring Paul Barron discussing XRP and Ripple’s expanding role in global blockchain infrastructure.
The post included a direct caption stating, “Franklin Templeton’s In. XRP is one of the only chains that has its own stablecoin.” The video focused on utility, infrastructure, and institutional engagement rather than price action.

In the video, Barron discussed whether XRP is beginning to approach the level of institutional attention seen around Bitcoin and ETH ETFs. He said, “I think that we’re moving in that direction.”
His comments centered on structural developments rather than financial performance. Barron framed XRP’s position through how institutions evaluate blockchain networks and their ability to support real business activity.
Barron highlighted stablecoins as a central part of the current narrative. He stated that XRP is “one of the only chains that also has its own stablecoin,” referring to the RLUSD stablecoin.
According to Barron, this introduces “a new element” for building business activity on the chain. He linked this directly to how companies think about deploying capital and infrastructure on public networks.

Machine-Driven Transactions and Ripple’s Global Expansion

Barron said one of the most significant developments ahead is the increase in computer-to-computer transactions. He explained that as adoption of Web3 models grows, automated transactions will rise.
He tied this trend to the value of having a stablecoin integrated with a public blockchain. Barron emphasized that XRP operates on a public chain with an independent verification network already in place, which supports this use case.
Barron also addressed Ripple’s business development outside the US. He said Ripple faced challenges domestically while the lawsuit remained active. During that period, he observed that Ripple continued to expand its international presence. He added that his organization operates globally and has worked with Ripple in Asia for several years.

Franklin Templeton’s Moves in the XRP Market

Franklin Templeton launched a spot XRP ETF in late 2025, joining the rapidly growing market. This ETF has outperformed expectations, and executives at Franklin Templeton have publicly highlighted the advantages of XRP.
The asset manager has secured its place in the ecosystem, and Barron explained that Ripple’s existing engagement in Asia is now extending into additional regions, widening the asset’s reach.
He said this expansion is part of why his team has looked to partner with Ripple more closely over the last few years. Barron’s remarks remained focused on stablecoins, public networks, and global business development, offering insight into why certain firms continue to engage with Ripple and the XRP ecosystem.
