PANews reported that Near Protocol's native token, $NEAR, launched on the Solana network on December 19. This move purportedly offers seamless cross-chain support with NEAR Intents and Orb Markets integration.

Technically, this unverified launch should enable users to deposit and withdraw $NEAR on Solana without additional wallet configurations or network changes. However, primary protocols and official announcements do not confirm these advancements.

The community has been skeptical, with Twitter users questioning the veracity of this report. No major figures from Near Protocol or Solana have made statements regarding this topic, fueling further doubt.
