There are very few happy altcoin holders in the current market, and XRP holders are in the same category after prices slipped another 10% during the ongoing crypto downturn.
The asset is now trading near $2.00, erasing recent gains and weakening confidence across the XRP community. Perhaps even the bigger problem is that XRP’s on-chain metrics have collapsed even faster than its market price, raising concerns about long-term adoption and genuine usage.
Meanwhile, Digitap ($TAP) continues to move in the opposite direction, with strong crypto presale momentum and maintaining its place among the best crypto to buy now as December begins.

XRP Concerning On-Chain Activity

Daily payment volume on the XRP Ledger has plunged nearly 90% since October 2025, dropping at times below 500,000 transactions per day. This crash results in a significant reduction in transactional demand across the network. Account-to-account payment volume has fallen by roughly 50% over the past month, signaling a sharp decline in the actual value transferred across the ledger.
XRP’s daily payment volume also fell below 1 billion XRP, which means one of its lowest activity periods in recent years. Daily transactions dropping below 2 million represent a 40% week-over-week and 70% month-over-month collapse. These figures highlight how rapidly XRP-based activity has deteriorated heading into late 2025.

New wallet creation has tumbled by nearly 80% over the past five months. Fewer new addresses entering the ecosystem typically signal waning interest among retail and emerging developers. XRP once relied on consistent onboarding to maintain activity and growth. The current decline puts long-term expansion into question.
This weakening on-chain activity arrives at the same time as broader market volatility is pressuring large-cap tokens. The simultaneous decline in price, transactions, wallet growth, and value creates a reinforced downtrend. This leaves many traders searching for altcoins to buy with stronger fundamentals and real momentum.

Digitap is an omni-bank application that combines fiat and crypto within one unified system. The app supports instant transfers, multi-currency swaps, global payments, and self-custodial account management. This gives users full control of funds while enabling everyday financial operations without traditional banking friction.

A defining feature of Digitap is its no-KYC Visa card, which allows immediate global spending without verification delays. The card connects directly to balances inside the app, enabling smooth transitions between stablecoins, fiat, and $TAP in real time. This structure benefits freelancers, remote workers, and nomads who rely on flexible money movement.
Digitap’s crypto presale remains one of the most active in the market following a massive November and Black Friday surge. The current price sits at $0.0334, with the next increase set at $0.0361 before the rise toward the $0.14 listing target. More than 136 million tokens have already been sold, with over $2.2 million raised. This consistent interest places Digitap among the strongest crypto presale projects heading into December.
Tokenomics are well-structured. The presale holds 44% of the supply, while 13% supports marketing and 12% fuels community giveaways. Another 10% is reserved for CEX and DEX listings, with development receiving 4% and staking rewards supported by 9%. A 7% treasury reserve and a 1% team allocation locked for five years complete the structure, creating balanced long-term dynamics.

Why $TAP, Not XRP, Is the Best Altcoin to Buy Now

XRP’s falling on-chain activity shows weakening demand at the protocol level, making the asset far more vulnerable during uncertain market cycles. Digitap, on the other hand, continues gaining traction thanks to a functioning financial ecosystem, strong user interest, and consistent presale expansion.
The gap between declining utility and rising adoption becomes even clearer as December begins. This positions $TAP ahead of many established assets in terms of momentum and practical use.
With the next price increase approaching at $0.0361 and the $0.14 listing price already set, the current stage offers one of the last early entry points. Growing attention, rising presale participation, and expanding utility make Digitap the best crypto to buy as of early December.
The window to secure lower pricing tightens with each new milestone, which reinforces the urgency around $TAP as one of the standout altcoins to buy now.
