The tweet marks a 180° reversal from his previously bearish-to-neutral stance on Ethereum.

In a move that sent shockwaves through Crypto Twitter late Wednesday, one of the most followed traders of the 2021–2025 cycles, Crypto Tony, announced he is preparing his biggest position ever — and it’s long ETH/BTC.“$ETH / $BTC – Update. Waiting on more dips for my big entries,” he wrote, adding the now-viral caption “BUY LONG TERM ALT DOMINANCE HERE.”
For months, Crypto Tony had remained cautious to outright bearish on Ethereum’s relative performance, repeatedly warning that ETH/BTC could revisit the 0.03–0.04 zone. Yet yesterday’s tweet represents a complete sentiment reversal: he now sees the current weakness as the final flush before a multi-year Ethereum outperformance cycle.

The timing aligns perfectly with converging macro and on-chain narratives. ETH/BTC is hovering just above its 2022–2025 accumulation range lows around 0.045 while Ethereum Layer-2 TVL explodes, staking ratios hit all-time highs, and the Dencun + Pectra upgrades loom on the horizon. Meanwhile, Bitcoin dominance sits at 62–63 %, a level that historically acts as a springboard for violent altcoin seasons.
Market participants immediately interpreted the statement as a major contrarian buy signal. Crypto Tony’s calls have an uncanny track record — his short entries near the 2021 tops and his accurate prediction of the 2024 Bitcoin run to $73 k are still legendary
.Community reactions ranged from euphoria to FOMO. “If Tony is loading ETH/BTC here, it’s over for bears,” became the top reply. Funding rates on ETH perpetuals instantly flipped positive, and spot ETH/BTC bids thickened on Binance and Bybit. While Tony didn’t specify exact entry levels, most analysts expect him to target the 0.043–0.046 zone for his “big entries,” potentially the last major accumulation area before the pair reclaims 0.08+ in 2026.One thing is clear: when a trader of Crypto Tony’s caliber publicly declares something as his largest planned position ever, the market listens. Altseason hopium just got a five-figure follower injection. The dip he’s waiting for may be the last discount Ethereum bulls see this cycle.
