In a moment that has captured the attention of both institutional and retail investors, the CEO of Teucrium Trading delivered a bold statement that could reshape the way we view crypto assets.
With the spotlight on XRP and its affiliated company Ripple Labs, the remarks—shared via a post by John Squire on X—underscore a clear conviction: XRP is far more than speculative hype.

Strategic Endorsement and Vision

According to John Squire’s post, Teucrium’s leader emphasized that XRP was chosen not for speculation but due to its tangible utility. “We chose XRP because we believe it’s the coin with the most utility,” the CEO stated. He added: “It is not just speculation; it facilitates real transactions.”
The mention of Ripple’s professional ethos further reinforced the endorsement: “The Ripple team, they’re really professional, they act like investment bankers over there. They know what they’re doing, and they will make this work.”

It’s not a promise, it’s performance. It’s not theory, it’s adoption. It’s the foundation of the new financial system. pic.twitter.com/TyUxzxdHsg

Utility Over Store of Value

In his remarks, the CEO contrasted XRP’s real‑world use against other cryptocurrencies often praised as stores of value. He observed, “Bitcoin is a store of value, and that is valid. But XRP has a real use case.”
This framing shifts the narrative: XRP is positioned as a tool for value transfer, adoption, and infrastructure, not merely a digital asset to hold and hope. Analysts from outlets such as Finance Magnates highlighted this positioning as central to the token’s rising relevance.

Institutional Adoption and Market Implications

The endorsement from Teucrium holds weight because the firm recently launched an XRP‑linked ETF, thereby committing capital and structure to the asset. For markets, this kind of institutional backing adds credibility and may attract fresh flows.
The CEO’s use of phrases such as “foundation of the new financial system,” and “it’s not a promise, it’s performance” (as shared via John Squire’s post) accentuates the fundamental belief in XRP’s role in global payments and tokenized finance. While not a price prediction, the implication is clear: investors should evaluate XRP through the lens of adoption and utility, not just speculation.

Considerations and Forward Outlook

While the CEO explicitly stated “we are not making a price prediction,” his emphasis on XRP’s positioning signals a strategic shift in narrative and valuation. Given the regulatory progress of Ripple and the completion of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission case in August 2025, the ecosystem appears better anchored than many altcoins.
That said, investors must remain mindful of market risk, timing, and broader macro pressure. Nevertheless, the message is unambiguous: XRP is being framed as the plumbing for the next financial system—not just another crypto.
In conclusion, in an industry heavy on speculation and light on guarantees, this endorsement from a traditional finance firm stands out. By stressing utility over possibility, adoption over hype, and professionalism over promise, the Teucrium CEO’s remarks mark a significant inflection point in how assets such as XRP are assessed.
For crypto journalists, academics, and investors alike, the conversation has shifted: XRP is not just part of the story—it may be the infrastructure for what comes next.
