November 2025 — Archivas officially announces the launch of its production-ready blockchain network, bringing a new level of efficiency and fairness to decentralized consensus through Proof-of-Space-and-Time (PoST) technology.
Built from the ground up as a Layer-1 blockchain, Archivas rewards “farmers” — participants who allocate unused disk space — with its native token, $RCHV, for helping secure and operate the network.

<h3 id="what-is-archivas">🌾 What Is Archivas?</h3>
Archivas introduces a sustainable alternative to energy-hungry Proof-of-Work (PoW) and capital-intensive Proof-of-Stake (PoS) systems.
Instead of GPUs or staked capital, Archivas relies on two innovative components:
• Proof-of-Space (PoS): Farmers allocate storage space to create “plots,” contributing capacity to the network.
• Proof-of-Time (PoT): Specialized “Timelords” compute Verifiable Delay Functions (VDFs) to maintain fair ordering and verifiable sequential time.
This dual model — inspired by Chia Network’s original research — allows anyone with free disk space to earn rewards while helping secure the blockchain.

<h3 id="network-specifications">✨ Network Specifications</h3>
• Consensus: Proof-of-Space-and-Time (PoST)
• Native Token: $RCHV
• Block Reward: 20 RCHV
• Block Time: ~20–30 seconds
• Current Network: archivas-devnet-v4 (public testnet)
The Archivas testnet has been operational for more than 25 days, processing over 64,000 blocks and 1,160 transactions, with active farmers contributing more than 55 GB of plot space.

<h3 id="why-archivas-matters">🌍 Why Archivas Matters</h3>
Archivas is bringing green, inclusive, and production-ready blockchain infrastructure to the BNB ecosystem.
By combining open participation, low energy usage, and predictable rewards, it redefines how Layer-1 networks achieve security and scalability.
“With Archivas, anyone can farm from home, contribute to decentralization, and earn $RCHV by simply sharing storage space,” said the Archivas development team.
As the network transitions from public testnet to mainnet readiness, Archivas positions itself as one of the most developer-friendly and energy-efficient blockchains in the space.

<h3 id="about-archivas">🚀 About Archivas</h3>
Archivas is a next-generation Proof-of-Space-and-Time blockchain designed for speed, fairness, and sustainability.
It empowers farmers, developers, and everyday users to participate in a decentralized economy without expensive hardware or staking requirements.
