<a href="https://www.equinix.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Equinix</a>, a global leader in digital infrastructure, has announced plans to open its latest data centre, LG3, in Lagos, Nigeria, in the first quarter of 2026. The $22 million facility will be the first purpose-built Equinix site in West Africa.This investment aims to provide high-quality infrastructure and connectivity services to support local businesses and attract international companies. It is part of a larger $100 million initiative to expand the company’s presence on the continent over the next two years.LG3 will connect with Equinix Fabric, which will help businesses link their physical and digital resources to cloud services and partners worldwide. As Africa’s second-largest economy, Nigeria has a tech-savvy population, with Lagos at the centre of this digital growth.
