Strategy, a growing player in the crypto investment space, has introduced its first Euro-denominated perpetual preferred stock, labeled as $STRE. This launch includes 3.5 million shares priced at €100 each. Unlike common stock, these preferred shares are perpetual, meaning they have no maturity date, and are structured to pay investors a 10% annual dividend.

This innovative move reflects the company’s bullish outlook on Bitcoin and its desire to leverage traditional financial instruments to expand its crypto holdings. The dividend-heavy structure makes $STRE attractive to income-seeking investors, especially those looking for exposure to the crypto sector without directly purchasing digital assets.

What sets this stock apart is its clear purpose: acquiring more Bitcoin. All proceeds from the $STRE offering will be directed toward purchasing BTC. By using Euro-denominated instruments, Strategy not only diversifies its funding sources geographically but also taps into the European investor base, which may prefer investments structured in their local currency.

This blend of traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi) is becoming more common as crypto firms seek stable funding methods without depending solely on volatile token sales. The fixed 10% dividend also signals the company’s confidence in generating consistent returns from its Bitcoin strategy.

Why Investors Are Watching Closely

The $STRE launch is being watched closely by market analysts, as it may set a precedent for other companies looking to fund crypto investments through stock offerings. The combination of Euro-denominated preferred shares and a crypto-focused use of funds is relatively rare, making this offering notable.

Investors interested in earning regular income while gaining indirect exposure to Bitcoin could find this product appealing. However, as always in the crypto sector, the success of this approach depends largely on Bitcoin’s long-term performance.
