American Bitcoin Corp. (Nasdaq: ABTC) has strengthened its position as a key player in the U.S. Bitcoin infrastructure landscape, following the acquisition of approximately 1,414 BTC. The latest purchase brings the company’s total Bitcoin reserves to 3,865 BTC as of October 24, 2025 — a mix of mined assets and strategic market acquisitions.
The company, a majority-owned subsidiary of Hut 8 Corp., confirmed that part of its Bitcoin is held in custody or pledged under a miner purchase agreement with BITMAIN. This development reinforces American Bitcoin’s hybrid model of accumulating and producing BTC, positioning it as a unique competitor in the digital asset accumulation space.

In a move to increase transparency for investors, American Bitcoin announced it will provide regular updates on its Satoshis Per Share (SPS) metric. SPS measures the amount of Bitcoin backing each outstanding share of the company’s common stock.
As of October 24, the company’s SPS stood at 418 Satoshis per share — a 52% increase since September 1, 2025. The figure reflects the impact of the recent BTC accumulation on shareholder exposure, offering a clearer gauge of the company’s performance in Bitcoin-denominated terms.

Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Eric Trump emphasized that the company’s core objective is to maximize Bitcoin per share for investors through transparent reporting and disciplined accumulation. Executive Chairman Asher Genoot added that American Bitcoin’s integrated mining operations give it a structural cost advantage over traditional Bitcoin holding firms.
By producing rather than purchasing the majority of its Bitcoin, the company aims to lower acquisition costs and compound value per share more efficiently. With this approach, American Bitcoin continues to position itself as a leader in the institutional Bitcoin accumulation sector.
Similarly, Metaplanet Inc. has <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://defi-planet.com/2025/08/metaplanet-expands-bitcoin-treasury-with-103-btc-purchase-boosting-holdings-to-18991/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">strengthened</a> its Bitcoin treasury strategy with the acquisition of an additional 103 BTC, valued at ¥1.736 billion. The latest purchase was made at an average price of ¥16.85 million per Bitcoin, raising the company’s total holdings to 18,991 BTC.
