Large institutions see potential of AI agents on blockchains delivering personalized financial services to millions of consumers.

Bluwhale, a decentralized AI network that powers agents across blockchains, today announced it has closed a $10 million Series A led by a global financial institution and top L1/L2 blockchain backers. The round underscores accelerating institutional participation in digital assets and the shift toward real-world AI + blockchain applications.

A major investor in the round is UOB Venture Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Overseas Bank (UOB). SBI Holdings, Japan’s $74 billion financial infrastructure giant, is already one of Bluwhale’s investors, alongside five of the top 100 blockchains, including Sui, Tezos, Cardano, Arbitrum and Movement Labs.

“The investors in this round signal strong commitments from both Web2 and Web3 to a future powered by AI agents delivering financial services across blockchains,” said Han Jin, CEO, Bluwhale. “It’s an incredible time to be in crypto as institutional adoption has reached an all-time high, from ETF investments to launching stablecoins to offering loans backed by digital assets.”

Consumer-first go-to-market, enterprise-grade rails

Bluwhale pairs a user’s financial health score with an AI agent marketplace where enterprises and developers launch services for a financially savvy Gen Z audience. The platform serves more than 3.6 million users globally, with hundreds of AI agents recommending assets and executing transactions on- and off-chain.

Under the hood, Bluwhale’s Layer 3 network orchestrates data, storage, and compute to power those agents, creating a multi-chain infrastructure designed for scale and interoperability.

Token generation event

Bluwhale’s Token Generation Event (TGE) for $BLUAI, the native token of its decentralized AI network, occurred on Oct. 21, 2025. The TGE expands participation beyond core infrastructure to active, community-driven growth.

“Our backers—from major banks to leading blockchain players—share our belief that decentralized AI will transform financial services and more,” Jin added. “We’re focused on secure, scalable AI that helps institutions accelerate digitization while meeting the expectations of digital-first generations.”

Strategic participation

Many existing investors joined the round, with new supporters including PAID Network, Sublime Ventures, High Cosmos Capital, CMY Ventures, DataSpike, NewHeritage, and senior AI leaders from Big Tech.

Institutional context

Institutional investment in digital assets has surged throughout 2025. Alongside core infrastructure, investors are now backing application-layer platforms—like Bluwhale’s AI agents on blockchains—that can deliver personalized, always-on financial services.
