The race to scale Ethereum just got a powerful new entrant. Brevis, a zero-knowledge (ZK) tech innovator, has unveiled that its Pico Prism system has reached a massive milestone—99.6% real-time proving of Ethereum blocks. What’s even more impressive is that it achieves this level of performance using consumer-grade GPUs, not enterprise-level hardware.

This development could be a game-changer for Ethereum scalability, dramatically lowering the cost and hardware requirements for running full nodes. With Pico Prism, users can validate Ethereum blocks nearly instantly, without the need for powerful servers or data centers.

The implications of this milestone go beyond just faster block proving. According to Brevis, Pico Prism’s performance brings the dream of 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) much closer to reality. Ethereum currently operates at around 15–30 TPS on Layer 1, so reaching 10K TPS would be a monumental leap—especially if it can be done without centralized infrastructure.
What’s more, Pico Prism may make smartphone-based validation a practical option. By removing the heavy computational demand traditionally required for block proving, it’s now conceivable that ordinary users could become full network validators from their phones.

This advancement by Brevis highlights a major trend in Ethereum’s future—accessible decentralization at scale. If proving blocks in real time can be done with everyday GPUs or even mobile devices, then the Ethereum network could decentralize further while scaling up dramatically.
By merging ZK technology with accessible hardware, Brevis is contributing to a future where Ethereum is not only faster but also far more inclusive.
