Switzerland’s AMINA Bank has made history by becoming the first regulated financial institution to offer institutional staking for Polygon’s POL token. This move, made possible through a partnership with the Polygon Foundation, marks a major step in bridging traditional finance with decentralized blockchain ecosystems.

As one of Switzerland’s most trusted digital asset banks, AMINA is known for its secure and compliant crypto services. Now, by adding POL staking, the bank enables institutional investors to participate in Polygon’s network while maintaining full regulatory compliance—a key requirement for many traditional finance players exploring blockchain opportunities.

Staking is a core part of blockchain networks, allowing token holders to support network security and earn rewards. However, institutions often face strict compliance rules that limit their ability to stake directly.
AMINA Bank’s regulated staking service provides a secure, transparent, and compliant way for institutional clients to stake their POL tokens. This eliminates the operational and regulatory barriers that have long prevented large-scale investors from engaging in decentralized finance (DeFi).
Through this collaboration, the Polygon Foundation gains a trusted gateway for institutional participation, strengthening the overall ecosystem while increasing liquidity and network resilience.

This partnership sets a new benchmark for the crypto industry. It demonstrates how regulated financial entities can successfully integrate Web3 infrastructure into traditional investment systems.
For institutional clients, AMINA’s offering provides a safe entry point into staking and DeFi, with the assurance of Swiss-level compliance and custody. For Polygon, it opens the door to greater institutional engagement, a crucial step in expanding its network’s reach and credibility.
As more banks follow AMINA’s lead, regulated staking could become a major driver of institutional crypto adoption worldwide.
