OpenAI, led by Nick Turley and Sam Altman, announced ChatGPT’s evolution into a platform similar to an operating system. This development focuses on embedding third-party applications like Spotify and Zillow within ChatGPT.

The transformation empowers developers by facilitating direct transactions and enabling revenue sharing. While specific details on monetization are pending, the emphasis remains on enhancing user experience.

"If we can evolve ChatGPT the right way, if we can let people build into it, then maybe you will be spending a lot of time in ChatGPT, the sort of operating system. But it won’t feel like you’re in a chatbot." - Nick Turley, Head of ChatGPT, OpenAI

No direct regulatory statements or reactions from financial markets have been observed. However, public discussions on developer forums underscore active engagement with these changes.
