As October progresses, the XRP market is drawing increased attention from traders and analysts who sense that something significant is brewing. The price has been moving within a tightening range, reflecting a classic buildup of pressure before a potential breakout.
Among those closely following this setup is renowned technical analyst Egrag Crypto, who believes XRP is now entering a mathematically favorable window for a major move.

Egrag Crypto’s Analysis

In his recent post on X, Egrag Crypto detailed an extended ascending triangle formation that has been developing on XRP’s chart for nearly a year. According to him, the pattern spans approximately 362 days — a duration that, when analyzed using historical breakout probabilities, suggests that the asset is nearing the critical point where a breakout typically occurs. His analysis draws from years of market data and pattern-based research.

This prediction is based on math, numbers, and historical breakout percentages. An ascending triangle usually breaks out around the 70-80% mark of its formation.
The Mathematical Timing Window

Egrag’s model references a well-known principle in technical analysis: ascending triangles tend to break out when the price action reaches 70% to 80% of the pattern’s total length. Based on this rule, his calculations identify three potential breakout windows.

Around September 22, 2025 (70% mark)

Around October 28, 2025 (80% mark)

Around December 6, 2025 (90% mark)

While the 70% window has passed without a confirmed breakout, Egrag emphasizes that the October zone remains statistically the most probable period for XRP to move decisively. The December window, he adds, would only come into play if the pattern extends further — a scenario more typical of long-term, or “macro,” breakouts.

Key Technical Levels to Watch

At the time of writing, XRP is trading around $2.95–$3.00, hovering just below a crucial resistance range between $3.13 and $3.20. Egrag and other analysts note that a confirmed breakout above this zone could propel XRP toward mid-$3 levels and potentially even the low-$4 range, provided trading volume supports the move.
However, failure to sustain momentum could trigger a pullback to test lower supports within the triangle structure.

What It Means for Traders

For traders, Egrag’s insight isn’t simply about forecasting a price surge — it’s about understanding timing and probability. Historical data shows that patterns like this often resolve with strong directional moves once price and volume align.
As Egrag explains, “It’s not about predicting; it’s about preparing.” The focus, therefore, should be on confirmation — a sustained break above resistance accompanied by high trading volume — before committing to a position.

Final Thoughts

Egrag Crypto’s analysis presents a disciplined, data-driven case for optimism around XRP’s October outlook. The confluence of pattern maturity, historical probability, and market structure has set the stage for what could become one of the most closely watched technical events in XRP’s chart history.
Whether the move comes this month or stretches into December, the message remains clear: the breakout window is officially open.
