However, recent data indicates some ETH whales are rotating into other ERC-20 assets—most prominently, the meme-inspired Layer 2 token Little Pepe (LILPEPE) which is currently in presale.
This raises an important question—If Ethereum is set to rise, why would some of the largest holders move to alternatives?

Ethereum (ETH) Price Outlook

Ethereum has survived several bear markets so far and it is still one of the cryptocurrencies with over 17% market share. The shift to proof-of-stake increased the efficiency of Ethereum transactions and Layer 2 solutions are already helping to scale the network.
However, new competition is emerging. Solana (SOL) and Avalanche (AVAX) present themselves as Ethereum alternatives by offering transactions with reduced costs and higher speeds. Some analysts have projected ETH to see a steady increase, but it may face a growth ceiling compared to smaller tokens that can achieve viral use cases.

Why ETH Whales Are Exploring Little Pepe (LILPEPE)

Little Pepe (LILPEPE) has emerged as a strong alternative investment for Ethereum holders looking for asymmetric returns. Unlike traditional meme coins such as Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), LILPEPE is being developed as a dedicated Layer 2 blockchain optimized for meme projects.
This suggests the project could capture both cultural relevance and real utility. Its presale performance indicates rising confidence:

Stage 13 Price: $0.0022

USD Raised: $26,255,921 / $28,775,000

Tokens Sold: 16,104,962,915 / 17,250,000,000

With the presale progression, LILPEPE has an edge over Ethereum in terms of pricing (lower price) and profit rate (rise in presale prices at every stage). This makes it easy for low budget investors to have a share in the crypto cake.
Recent data suggests that presale momentum has been quicker than anticipated. LILPEPE has been progressing through phases in a manner that suggests continued demand from not only retail investors but also larger Ethereum holders.

Tokenomics and Incentives Driving Adoption

The strength of LILPEPE may lie in its balanced tokenomics. Roughly 26.5% of the supply is allocated to presale buyers, while liquidity, staking, and chain reserves ensure long-term ecosystem growth. Notably, the project applies 0% tax on transactions, reinforcing its appeal as a frictionless trading asset.
For ETH holders accustomed to long lock-ups or staking rewards with variable returns, LILPEPE offers a more community-driven distribution model. Its combination of meme culture and blockchain innovation positions it as more than a speculative asset—it could evolve into the backbone of a meme-based DeFi ecosystem.

Mega Giveaway Boosts Presale

Adding to the excitement, Little Pepe introduced a Mega Giveaway across Stages 12–17. With 71,725 entries already and 98 days remaining, the campaign is drawing significant attention.
Prizes include:

1st Biggest Buyer – 5 ETH

2nd Biggest Buyer – 3 ETH

3rd Biggest Buyer – 2 ETH

15 Random Lucky Buyers – 0.5 ETH each

Over 15 ETH in rewards could further fuel presale demand, especially as the project approaches its Stage 20 listing at $0.003.

Comparing LILPEPE with DOGE and SHIB

Dogecoin thrives mainly as a payment token, while SHIB has faced challenges scaling its ecosystem. By contrast, LILPEPE aims to launch a meme-focused Launchpad while incorporating sniper-bot resistance, features rarely seen in other presales. If successful, these elements may give it an edge not only over meme coins but also among ERC-20 projects competing for Ethereum liquidity.

Conclusion

Although the Ethereum price forecast for 2025 is very bullish, whales seem to be hedging with high-potential altcoins such as Little Pepe (LILPEPE). Given its successful presale, community-focused tokenomics, and Mega Giveaway, the project was built to go viral and earn real utility. For Ethereum holders and meme coin traders, LILPEPE might be one of the most attractive 2025 ERC-20 investments.
