Major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have entered the mainstream in 2024-2025 due in part to new ETF products and high-level endorsements from policymakers.
This mainstream integration signifies a turning point in digital financial markets, impacting regulatory approaches and sparking significant institutional interest globally.
Cryptocurrency's mainstreaming accelerates in 2024, driven by new ETF products and significant regulatory shifts. Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have surpassed U.S. gold ETF holdings, marking a pivotal moment for digital assets.
Prominent figures like Donald Trump and Paul Atkins are advocating for crypto adoption in the U.S. Institutional interest is on the rise, reflecting a notable shift in market dynamics.

The introduction of crypto ETFs highlights institutional confidence. Surpassing gold indicates a shift in investor preferences. This progressive trend is further supported by official endorsements, showcasing growing legitimacy in the financial sphere.

The current ETF phenomena can be compared to the 2017 ICO boom, although with stronger regulatory backing. This regulatory support distinguishes the present situation from past cycles.
Experts at Kanalcoin suggest that, based on historical trends, crypto mainstreaming will continue to evolve. This trajectory is reinforced by regulatory clarity and institutional acknowledgment of digital assets' potential.
