Binance US has integrated Abstract Chain, a newly launched Ethereum Layer 2 network, enabling American users to deposit and withdraw Ethereum directly without using bridges. The move promises faster, cheaper, and more secure transactions while opening up access to Abstract’s growing ecosystem of decentralized applications and NFT platforms.

The integration is part of Binance US’s broader effort to expand Ethereum Layer 2 coverage. Earlier this year, the exchange introduced support for Base, Coinbase’s rapidly growing network, allowing deposits and withdrawals of ETH and USDC via Layer 2 rails.

Abstract Chain, developed by Igloo Inc., the creators of Pudgy Penguins, launched in January as a consumer-friendly scaling solution for Ethereum. Backed by $11 million in funding from investors, including Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, the network aims to combine efficiency with accessibility for mainstream users.
The chain leverages zk-rollup architecture to bundle transactions for speed and lower costs, while EigenDA technology enhances data availability at scale. In addition, Abstract introduces account abstraction and social login features, reducing the technical complexity often associated with onboarding to decentralized platforms.
<h3 id="span-style-font-weight-400-layer-2-adoption-accelerates-across-u-s-platforms-span">Layer 2 adoption accelerates across U.S. platforms</h3>
With Ethereum’s scaling needs intensifying, Binance US’s embrace of Abstract highlights the growing importance of Layer 2 solutions in the digital asset market. Direct integration of networks like Abstract and Base signals an industry shift toward seamless, low-cost transactions that eliminate the need for bridging or technical workarounds.
As Layer 2 adoption gathers momentum, exchanges are racing to provide users with simplified access to scalable infrastructure. For Binance US, bringing Abstract Chain into its platform underscores a commitment to making Ethereum more usable for both traders and newcomers in the U.S. market.
Meanwhile, Binance Global <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://defi-planet.com/2025/09/binance-lists-ethenas-usde-expanding-access-to-next-gen-stablecoins/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announced</a> the listing of Ethena’s USDe, with spot trading pairs against USDC and USDT launching September 9. Withdrawals open the following day—marking another step in the rise of non-fiat-backed digital dollars.
